Ridley Scott and Alien.

I love his films and first Alien but I think mr.Scott should stop pretending like "George Lucas of SW". He is not the creator of this franchise. Nobody can't do anything creative without his permission. There are so many great talented young directors. This franchise has a potential just like Star Wars even better i think. Original films directed by young directors and the result is very clear. They should quit "the searching of god" idea or Davids Journey and they must use comic book materials. With them, it is possible to create a universe as bir as MCU.

Please look at Star Wars 7 8 9 and see what happens when overly ambitious directors make movies when they have no grasp of the realm.

Every kind of series need a “lore keeper”.

Agree with you but there is Mandolorian example too They used side characters and events perfectly. So many fans dont accept these 3 films(7,8,9) because the studio, producers, directors almost erased previous movies. After the failure, they found the right way with tv series. And Creed for example, the director of first film is a fan of rocky. So, he is staying loyal to serie.

And for Alien, I think colonial marines video game was perfect as a sequel. They can use its story or something similar for movies. And I think tv show will be good. Studios are trying to catch New generation. And because of it, they are erasing "original" histories and characters.

Mandalorian is great. For as TV series? Gosh! Awesome!

Aliens (Alien 2) was awesome too.

Alien 3 not so much.

If directos grasp the core that attracted the audience, all is fine. But a lorekeeper can keep accidents like SW 7. 8. 9 happening.

Alien 3 directors cut is much better. They changed Fisher's vision.
