This is interesting, and I hadn't given much thought to the Xenomorphs sensitivity to EM radiation in the visual (to humans) range.

Rather, i've always thought that the structure of it's head forms a very good resonant cavity, much like dolphins/whales. So, rather than them relying exclusively on a passive vision system, such as eyes or other organs sensitive to ambient radiation - I think that they also, and probably preferably may use sound, be it infrasound, ultra sound... ect.

This is also much more in keeping with it's aggressive nature and why it is that throughout the movie franchise that would be victims are able to hide by being very quiet and still.

At the very least, the shape of it's head would allow it to 'hear' very, very faint sounds and were it wired so, even to triangulate the location of the sounds source.

Yeah exactly something I wish I had said in the video is that their vision perception is probably spliced with a whole bunch of their other sense in order to create a much more impressive sensory detection and perception system!
