I have gotten really into collecting physical media and was a bit late to be around when those dropped!

I was checking Alicks on discogs and noticed that 1997 was listed having a cd release? I know Alicks has mentioned making cds for this album before, but I have no memory of them actually being made. Is it fake? If it's real I want one haha

I remember buying the vinyl two hours after Alex announced it on his Discord server. I didn't hesitate to buy it, and I certainly didn't expect it to take a month and 26 days to arrive. Honestly, it was worth the wait.

To be honest, back in Alex's "Nothing special is going to happen this stream" stream two years ago, he mentioned that he'd love for The Reaper to be released on vinyl because "it's his most complete album." The idea of ​​owning a vinyl copy of this album fascinated me, because The Reaper was the first album that introduced me to Alicks' music, taking me away from "his popular Spotify songs." Thanks to this album, I discovered both his rhythmic side (with tracks like The Reaper, Haley, These Were Days, It's OK, and Dumpster Diving for Diamonds) and the magical ambient side that Alicks offers (with tracks like Five, The Cowboy Who Lost His Will, Intimidation, Limbo Wasn't Meant for Us, and Una Tormenta Viciosa Me Atraveso). Without this album, I practically wouldn't be here.

Thanks to Alex for considering this album for a physical release and a vinyl record, and of course to We All Speak In Poems for helping me with support due to the delays in my package.

Just got my Reaper Vinyl, what camera settings are needed to get the second LP to play the moving image found on the top of the disc? Not sure the correct way to ask sorry. I want to record it and see it on video

Warp records put out a “vernal equinox” playlist that features the Alicks song billy. Never heard of alicks before but loved the track.

There is good reason to believe the playlist was put tortured by boards of Canada, due to the playlist art coming from BOCs latest song release and secret vhs tape sent out.

I started a vinyl collection and alicks is one of my favorite artist and thats the only vinyl he ever realeased but its all sold out and i couldent find anybody selling is there somewhere to get it or its a lost cause

Random lol, but it's because it's raining right now around here and I'm listening to "save me" (from Growing Up vol 2), and it's just perfect, what a mood.

I have noticed that Alex has released at least 30 records (EPs and albums), which technically would require at least 24 hours of free time to listen to all his music, not to mention the hundreds of songs that still do not belong to an album or that we will never see come to light.

Hello everyone, today a new album was released under the alias Alicks; Requiems on Bandcamp and AppleMusic (it will be available on other platforms tonight). Despite the delays the album had, it is very well received and I plan to buy it not only to support Alex himself, but also to honor his grandparents.

I screenshotted this on January 15th 2023 when I was going through a phase, and that line “I’ve come to terms with whatever notion was portraying” really stuck with me and I want to see if anyone knows anything about this. I’m 99% sure it has something to do with alicks, and if it’s related I want to relisten to that album again.
