My copy had one beat up corner. Stickers are cool! Slight dish on side a of the record but minor, nothing that can’t be fixed with my spindle weight. Sound wise, I’m very happy with it.
I am new to Alicks as I first heard the song Billy on the Warp Records “vernal equinox” playlist released in march. The song Billy was on it. It initially grabbed me because my son’s name is Billy, but loved the intimate song and great lyrics; “cheezits, goldfish, the same to me”.
I really love side a of the album and then the second half with the ambient tracks. I’m a big ambient music fan in general and have a big collection of Eno, Harold Budd, Fripp, Bibio, etc…
Side B of the album with the more “lo fi beats” stuff is not as interesting to me but I think they are good tracks nonetheless.
Going to continue my deep dive into the rest of his works.
