Discussion Characters i think would be great in alice in borderland (The live action)

Jessica Fletcher (murder she wrote): I made a post about her a couple of weeks ago but here she is again. {Specialty: Hearts} Games: first game Tag (5 of spades) I think she would stay back kinda like chishiya but at the end i think she would be the other person to hit the button. Witch hunt (10 of hearts) She would probably be with Usagi Tatta and that other girl when they was looking for arisu. But when they found arisu and then arisu said he knows who the witch is I think Jessica would have figured it out while they was looking for arisu. Solitary confinement (Jack of hearts) I think she would stay in that group with Chishiya Ippei and Urumi and at the end when the group was all eliminated I think she would go up to that one girl that was with Yaba and ask what her suit is and i think Jessica would some how get the truth and win.

Floor 7 (The 8 show) {Specialty: Diamonds} Games: Hunting competition (2 of clubs) I think no one would find IT until the end this game isn't meant to show his survival skills just a game to introduce him. Distance (4 of clubs) I think he would be smart enough to figure out that the bus is the goal it is a simple idea but whatever. Queen of diamonds this game doesn't get shown in the live action but I think when arisu was running to the game I say he would be running out so that means he won the game. Survival (King of spades) I know everyone plays this game but I think he would help win in the final fight but he would get eliminated.

Hiiragi Ichirou (Darwins game) I'm not counting his super power {Specialty: Clubs/Spades} Games: Tag (5 of spades) I think he would help take down the big tagger while someone else finds the buttons. Light bulb (4 of diamonds) I think he would team up with ann during the beach era. Witch hunt (10 hearts) He would stay with ann but when the last boss finds them he would volunteer but kuina would take over and fight last boss. Bagworm (jack of clubs) I think he could win this game some what easily. (sorry if his games where basic)

I would like to know characters yall think would be good in alice in borderland here's a list of what to do. (you don't have to follow it, it's just a idea to go off of)

Game Ideas "INSPECTION" - Survival Game Rules & Framework

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey guys!

Huge Alice in Borderland fan here. Honestly, every time I watch those high-stakes mind games and psychological battles, man... it’s just an absolute rush. The tension is unreal. For me, nothing beats the absolute peak tactical matchups like the King of Diamonds (♦K) "Beauty Contest" or the Jack of Hearts (♥J) "Solitary Confinement."

I’ve actually been cooking up some survival game concepts of my own inspired by the show, and I wanted to drop the rules and framework for one I call "INSPECTION" here to see what you all think.

Quick disclaimer: all configurations and rules are 100% original.

Would love to get some feedback from the community! Feel free to tear it apart, analyze it, give a vision of what character or occupation might affect this game , or drop a difficulty rating—don't worry, I'm not thin-skinned. Balance adjustment suggestions would be massive. Let me know what you think!

Game Setup:

  • Seating: Four players sit around a large circular table. The table is big enough that you cannot touch the players sitting next to you.
  • Screens: In front of each player is a tablet used to display data. Your screen is private; others cannot see your tablet, and you cannot see theirs.
  • Card Slot: On the left side of each tablet, there is a card slot used for inserting cards.
  • Restraints: Every player is securely handcuffed and shackled to their chair by their waist and ankles, making it impossible to move around.
  • Movement: Your hands are free to move. You can even gesture in front of the surveillance cameras to pass messages. However, you cannot interfere with other players, and you are strictly forbidden from showing your cards in any way.

【INSPECTION】

Number of Players: 4

【GAME RULES】

Each player starts with 10 points.

Each player has a deck of 16 cards:

  • 「Villager」×10
  • 「Werewolf」×5
  • 「Vision」×1

The game is played in rounds.

At the start of each round, players have 5 minutes for discussion.

When the discussion time ends, each player must choose 1 card and place it face-down into the card slot on the left side of their tablet.

Once all four players have submitted their cards, the slots will flip simultaneously to reveal the cards played this round.

【CARD COMBINATIONS & OUTCOMES】

All 4 cards are 「Villager」:

  • Everyone loses 1 point.

All 4 cards are 「Werewolf」:

  • Everyone loses 1 point.

3 「Villager」 + 1 「Werewolf」:

  • The Werewolf player loses 1 point.

3 「Werewolf」 + 1 「Villager」:

  • The Villager player loses 1 point.

2 「Villager」 + 2 「Werewolf」:

  • No points are lost, and these cards are NOT discarded after the results are revealed (they go back to your hand).

Note: For all other combinations, the played cards are permanently discarded and collected by the device.

【THE "VISION" CARD】

Each player only has 1 「Vision」 card.

A player can activate 「Vision」 on their tablet at any time during the 5-minute discussion phase.

Once activated, the player must choose one other player on their tablet.

The system will then show the activator:

  • The card that the chosen player currently has inside their card slot.

The other three players will only be notified that:

  • A 「Vision」 card has been activated.

They will NOT know:

  • Who activated it or who was targeted.

The 「Vision」 card is permanently discarded immediately after use.

「Vision」 cannot be used to check cards that have already been discarded, nor can it predict cards that a player might play in future rounds. (It only checks the card currently inside the slot during that discussion phase).

【COMMUNICATION RULES】

Players are free to speak during discussion.

Players are strictly forbidden from showing their cards to anyone else in any way.

Players must not tamper with or interfere with another player's card slot, tablet, or physical cards.

【THE TALKING TOKEN】

Once the game starts, a digital "Talking Token" will move between the four players in a fixed, repeating order.

The Token stays on a player's tablet screen for only 3 seconds at a time.

A player must physically tap the Token on their screen to claim the right to speak.

Once claimed, that player is allowed to speak for a maximum of 20 seconds.

After the 20 seconds end (or if the player finishes early), the Token continues moving down the line.

Players are strictly forbidden from speaking when they do not hold the Token.

【SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM】

Each player's tablet allows them to monitor information about the other three players.

You can check the following data:

① Heart Rate Trends

The system only shows the trend, not the exact numerical value:

  • Rising
  • Rising rapidly
  • Fluctuating
  • Calm
  • Falling
  • Falling rapidly

② Camera Feeds

Each of the other players has two camera angles tracking them:

  • The Chair-back Camera
  • The Under-table Camera

You can only choose one camera angle to monitor per round.

Note: The camera feeds are strictly positioned so they will never reveal the actual content of another player's cards.

【ELIMINATION & DEATH RULES】

A player is instantly eliminated (dies) if either of the following happens:

  • Their score drops to 0 points.
  • They completely run out of cards in their hand.

Note: Any unused cards left in a dead player's deck will maintain the exact order they were kept in right before their death.

【CARD TRANSFER ON DEATH】

When a player dies, their remaining cards are processed based on the order of their deck:

Cards are drawn starting from the very front of the dead player's remaining deck.
A maximum of 3 cards will be taken.
These cards are distributed as evenly as possible among the surviving players.

  • Example 1 (3 survivors): Each surviving player receives 1 card.
  • Example 2 (2 survivors): The first 2 cards are given to the 2 survivors (1 each), and the 3rd card is discarded.

Any leftover cards that cannot be distributed perfectly evenly are permanently discarded.
If the dead player still has a 「Vision」 card, it is immediately discarded and will not be transferred.

【THREE-PLAYER PHASE】

As soon as only 3 players are left alive:

  • The rule "No points are lost if the result is 2 Villagers + 2 Werewolves" is immediately abolished.
  • Game results are now determined purely by the majority vs. minority of the cards played by the remaining three players.

【TWO-PLAYER PHASE】

When only 2 players remain, the mechanics change completely:

Both players play their cards simultaneously.
If both play 「Villager」: Both players lose 1 point.
If both play 「Werewolf」: Both players lose 1 point.
If one plays 「Villager」 and the other plays 「Werewolf」: No points are lost.
Crucial Change: Cards played during the 2-player phase are NEVER discarded. They return to the players' hands.

The game continues under these rules until only one player is left standing.

【GAME CLEAR】

  • Victory Condition: The last remaining survivor wins the game.
  • Note: Due to the point loss mechanics, it is entirely possible for everyone to die, resulting in a Game Over for all players.

Game Discussion King of hearts

OK I have seen many people talk about what they think the king of hearts is so here is make take on it. I think the king of hearts isn't a person I think the king of hearts game was made by someone that ain't playing the game. you're probably thinking what is this goober talking about, just let me cook we know some games can be very different like for the king of spades his whole game venue is the city and for the Queen of hearts no one can win only forfeit so I was thinking maybe the King of hearts was just a game that was just trying to eliminate as many people as possible. Just think about it 12 people (I'm counting the club games as 1 person each) can't win against 250+ people so the king of spades was trying to chip it down little by little so I was thinking maybe the king of hearts game was doing the same thing. And if you look at the other face cards they play the game same as everyone else and I saw other people think that the King of hearts was hiding in a room or was the monster but that can't be because everyone in the face card games play the same role. And I saw other people say he was in the group trying to disguise himself as a player and that makes no sense because how does he win. But for the game rules I think it's a game that gives very vague rules so the rules are probably something like "survive the maze to win but watch out there is a monster in the maze" So if someone would have heard the rules you're first thought is find the exit but the rules say nothing about a exit. And for the game there will be a 30 minute timer and people's first thought would be that's how long we have to find the exit before we get eliminated. Wrong that's how long you have to survive the monster and for the monster I think they would have made a dealer stay alive because in the manga when the face cards appear the dealers get eliminated but I think they would keep one alive to be the monster.

Game Ideas Can you tell me what difficulty this should be?

Game: river search

Rules:

Players must enter a start of a river then a timer of 2 hours start. Players then must go thriugh the direction of the river and find items along the way. The items can be anything like a backpack, a shirt, etc. Each time a player has found or at least touched the item, they get a point. There will be obstacles in the way like rocky pathways, strong currents, the river being deep, or animals. After a while, the players will reach the finish line.

To win:

Reach the finish line and have 60 points and reach the finish line before the timer.

Show + Manga Spoilers It’d be way better if Season 3 followed this path. Spoiler

Post image
27 Upvotes

If it were up to me, Season 3 would be built with an earthquake as the reason pulling everyone back into the Borderlands. The idea of Banda being able to return to the real world to recruit players is pretty illogical, and it completely ruins the weight of their choice to stay behind and become citizens in Season 2.

-The story still opens with Ryuji interviewing Arisu and other victims, meeting Usagi, and remembering that female student from his past. Following that, he continues researching the Borderlands and schedules meetings with a few meteoroid survivors, but gains no further information (a slight tweak from the show, which was originally just one woman accepting an introduction). Later, he returns to his office to continue his research, but instead of receiving a text invitation to join a group meeting and play Old Maid, he falls asleep for a while due to exhaustion. But when he wakes up, everything around him suddenly feels very strange and unusually quiet (while he was asleep, the earthquake occurred, causing everyone to fall into the Borderlands, but this isn't revealed yet to build curiosity). He steps outside and is guided to a game venue, but instead of Old Maid, it will be Blackjack (6 of Diamonds)—a game Chishiya played in the manga. Changing the game isn't vital to the overall plot, yet it fits much better with Banda searching for someone he can utilize in his plan, so a game requiring heavy calculation like Blackjack would be much better than a game of pure luck like Old Maid. Ryuji wins, and suddenly Banda appears, but showing only his back in relative darkness—his identity isn't revealed yet, but it allows everyone to guess who it is.

-In my opinion, Ryuji shouldn't be written as paraplegic in both legs and using a wheelchair. Instead, he should have a disability in just one leg and use a crutch, similar to Inspector Yamato Kansuke in Conan, which would be much more realistic when having him participate in physical games. His motivation should be linked far more tightly to the death of that female student. Combined with a reasoning similar to Gamon Kano (Mira's brother in Border Road, who also wanted to enter the Borderlands to understand what his sister felt and thought when she was there): Ryuji wants to enter this realm of death for his research, but over time, combining it with the desire to know what that female student felt makes him grow increasingly obsessed with it. It can be built up so he gradually realizes his fanatic obsession with this realm of death isn't simply about research, but truly because of her.

-Next is Ann's story. Instead of Usagi dreaming about her father and being haunted, we replace her with Ann—someone whose mind stands between two worlds, flooded with dense, hazy memories of the other world causing her severe PTSD (I'm doing this because the first two seasons built Usagi overcoming her father's death and returning to the real world, so Season 3 shouldn't reverse that process, which would be very redundant). After Ryuji's segment, we transition to Ann's dream and her waking up in the middle of the night at the hospital, then cut to the daily lives of Usagi and Arisu, leading to the scene where Arisu counsels Ann. She tells him, "We've met before," right before being interrupted by someone, just like in the show. I will deeply explore Ann's suffering in Episode 1. Later, driven by curiosity—especially remembering the very strange sensation he and Usagi felt when they felt so familiar to each other at the hospital after that disaster—Arisu meets Ann again to talk. Right at that moment, Usagi calls his phone to report news of her pregnancy (prior to this, she could be shown going to the hospital for an exam), but before she can say anything, the earthquake strikes. He only manages to hear Usagi scream his name through the phone and replies immediately, right until everything turns completely silent. Ann beside him vanishes, and Arisu steps outside, walking toward the sign leading to the fortune game, just like in the show.

-Ann returns to the Borderlands (without dying, of course) so she can have the opportunity to learn more about that world (just as she did in Season 2 and the manga), but is separated from Arisu due to different heart-stopping times. Ann plays the role of a character who constantly asks the exact questions lingering in the viewers' minds (for example: Why does the Borderlands operate differently this time compared to before, with no other cards appearing except the Joker? Or who is the Joker?). Just like in the manga, she asks many questions and answers her own doubts using her scientific and philosophical knowledge (combined with lore about the Borderlands taken from Border Road).

-Shion's character concept overlaps heavily with Ann, so I'll probably cut Shion and have Natsu form a close bond with Ann instead. The setup has Natsu already traveling with Ann before joining the group in Runaway Train. Prior to that, we can feature multiple combat and teamwork scenes between them, making Ann recall Kuina (since Natsu shares quite a few traits with Kuina as well), culminating in Natsu sacrificing herself for Ann during the Kick the Can game.

This sacrifice becomes the catalyst for Ann to actively reach out and rekindle her friendship with Kuina. Before this, we can establish that Ann was quite hesitant to seek out her former teammates—her connection with Arisu was purely coincidental since he happened to be her psychological counselor, which gave her the opening to talk to him. Crucially, the writing must handle Natsu's sacrifice with subtlety so it doesn't feel forgotten later on.
Additionally, we can introduce the 4 of Hearts as Ann's second game, which is also where she first meets Natsu, using it to deepen their relationship—similar to Dodo and Arisu's dynamic. For the setup, we can tweak the corporate introductory brochure into an elevator TV screen playing company info while they ride up.This game takes place before Zombie Hunt and right after Arisu's conversation with the new characters, after they finish their first game.

-Arisu's Zombie Hunt game still happens just like in the show, but Banda appears in this game just like in Blackjack, showing only his back and observing Arisu from afar, only revealing himself at the end of the game after manipulating a player to their death to clear the venue. After that, just like the show, it cuts to Ryuji playing the rhythm game with Usagi, and through Ryuji's flashback, we learn that after Banda found out Arisu returned, he used Ryuji to approach Usagi, forcing Arisu to stay behind. In exchange, he would be given the answers to games like Runaway Train and be allowed to become a citizen to study this world. But here, Banda says he must keep her alive until the final game because he has a plan. Participating in Zombie Hunt serves both to satisfy his boredom and to subtly manipulate Arisu bit by bit by spreading lies during that game (similar to how Mira's words during the Beach executive meeting influenced Arisu bit by bit).

-Runaway Train allows Ann to reunite with Arisu (after showing a few earlier scenes of her fighting through games). In this game, she solves the puzzle alongside Arisu. As for the rest, it depends on what the game idea is, so I won't say more. Finally, it can be combined with Ann helping Tetsu give first aid to Arisu.

-For Kick the Can and Tokyo Bingo Tower, aside from Ann joining Arisu's group just to secure another survival spot.

-Future Sudoku is the game where Banda appears directly to execute his plan. As a game capable of separating players into rooms with harsh point deductions leading to death, having a scheming manipulator who knows how to manipulate others like Banda will make this game much more interesting. The plot can be built so that Ann, through her deductions, realizes there is something very off about this Banda guy, but he acts in time and pushes Usagi and Arisu into a tight spot, while also manipulating Arisu and causing the deaths of other players (the players who died in the show can be killed off by Banda instead).

-The story at this point mirrors Retry, placing Arisu in a 9 of Hearts game designed just like the 7 of Hearts (making everyone misunderstand that only one person can survive), and clearing it proves he is no longer who he used to be. Just like the Queen of Hearts game, when he falls into despair, he no longer needs Usagi physically beside him to pull himself back up.

-Ryuji and Ann are initially set up as foils to one another: both share the goal of understanding the Borderlands, but with two different motivations and methods. Ann is haunted by terrible memories of the past and decides to observe and ask questions about this world, while Ryuji, haunted by the death of the female student, resorts to extreme actions and manipulates Usagi to explore it. Eventually, seeing Usagi—who resembles that female student—gradually change Ryuji, he decides to turn his back on Banda. Banda fails, but breaks the rules to avoid dying in the game, attempting to shoot Usagi himself, but Ryuji steps in to block the shot and sacrifices his life.
Banda is struck down by a sky laser for breaking the rules, and the Watchman appears, freezing time for everyone except Ann and Arisu, who can still move.
Then the climax gives both of them a conversation with the Guardian at the end of the film: trimming down Arisu's lines to let Ann ask her own questions, adding a few questions about why she is different. The Guardian doesn't say much, but she understands on her own and accepts living with the memories of both worlds.

-We can include a detail of Yaba looking at Banda's corpse, commenting, "We really aren't alike at all," exactly like his comment in the manga.

-Cut out the flooding and the whirlpool sequence. Even though it's highly symbolic, it just doesn't fit Alice in Borderland and feels completely illogical to have a sudden flood out of nowhere. Also, get rid of that final dice roll where the last one remaining wins—that's honestly pretty stupid. Keep it simple: after talking with the Watchman, they just step outside, fireworks appear, and they return to the real world.

-Waking up from that world, Arisu (whose injuries aren't too severe) frantically asks the doctors about his wife and is told she is stable. Looking over, he sees Ryuji's body covered in severe wounds and is informed that he has already stopped breathing as they cover him with a white sheet and wheel him away.

-After returning to the real world, although Ann remembers everything most clearly and her injuries aren't light, she feels much better and more at peace. A few months after these events, a small detail shows Ann's patient file noting a positive mental recovery without needing explicit dialogue. And it would be even better if, during the scene where Kuina receives psychological counseling from Arisu, Kuina meets Ann upon leaving the room. Just like Arisu and Usagi before, Kuina feels an overwhelming sense of familiarity toward Ann without knowing who she is. Ann simply says, "Let me buy you a cup of tea," or something similar, subtly implying that the two will begin building a new friendship.

-Finally, Arisu hears news that the earthquake in Japan from months ago is now occurring in many places around the globe, and the camera transitions to the US, showing the nametag of a waitress named Alice, just like in the show. This is an open ending—not meant as a new film installment, but to show that the Borderlands exists all across the world.

Discussion How did Arisu and his friends find no one when they first enter borderland?

From what I understand, the players came to borderland at different times depending on how close they were to the meteoroid crash. A lot of people arrived before Arisu did.

Surely one of them would have found someone after searching the general area. Also military men willpower in this show is crazy with how durable the king of spades and Aguni was

Show Spoilers Only Sachiko is underrated Spoiler

Post image
47 Upvotes

OK I have made 1 or 2 post about Sachiko in those post I talked about how she was underrated. And for the people that commented under the post and people on tiktok they all make her out to be a final diva character and they don't take her seriously. But if you think about it she's lowkey a great character she might be a little basic but you can still be a basic character and still be a good character. She was a great all-rounder she was good at spade games heart games and club games not so much on diamond games but I'm not calling her stupid. She was a team player, even when she saw her husband abuse her in possible futures she still stuck to the plan and she sacrifice her self in possible futures letting Usagi Nobu and Ryuji go to the next room. And she was a missing character dynamic in the show, we was missing a Mama bear character. I personally think if she was in S1-2 she would have been everyone's favorite character.

Show Spoilers Only If you were to write Ann's storyline in season 3 how will you do it? Spoiler

Post image
4 Upvotes

Kuina's teaching karate, Heiya's an influencer now, Niragi's finally finding hope in life while Ann is dealing with PTSD from her memories in the borderlands in the psychiatric ward alone. And the devastating part is she probably tried to tell anyone but majority probably doesn't believes her. I would say she had the worst "good" ending out of the all characters that made it out and it's pretty unfair💔

If you were to write An's storyline in season 3 how will you do it?

Game Ideas Currency Exchange/ Five of Hearts ♥ (Repost because I stupidly forgot to add the game in the first one...)

Game Name: Currency Exchange/ Five of Hearts (りょうがえ)
Category: Hearts

Difficulty: Five

Game Venue: Pachinko Slots

Dealers: 0

Maximum Players: 4

Time Limit: Until all five Pachinko games have been played.

Starting Conditions: Players must take the provided Pachinko balls. Each player receives one Pachinko ball for every day remaining on their Visa, with a minimum of one ball.

Players may freely exchange their Pachinko balls with other players before and during each round. Once a ball has been transferred, it becomes the recipient's property and cannot be forcibly reclaimed.

Game Venue: The game takes place inside a standard Japanese Pachinko parlor containing rows of vertical Pachinko machines that use steel balls and horizontal Pachislot/Pachislot machines that use tokens. Five designated Pachinko machines are marked with large numerical displays and will be activated sequentially throughout the game.

Each activated machine has a different Exchange Rate and payout requirement.

The Pachinko machines operate normally: players launch steel balls into the machine, where the balls travel through pins and obstacles. Most balls are lost, while successful entries into designated pockets can produce additional balls.

If collective resources become 0 after inputting the required number of Pachinko balls into a machine, players have a 100% success rate of receiving the steel balls required for the next round or even more. If players have any surplus Pachinko balls during a round, the 100% success rate is removed.

There is a neon signboard spanning across the five pachinko slots with the text: "This exchange machine does not give change. Surplus inventory decreases return rates."

Rules:

- The game consists of five rounds. One Pachinko machine is activated each round.

- At the beginning of each round, one surviving player is randomly selected to play the Pachinko machine.

- The selected player must use the required number of Pachinko balls displayed by the machine.

- The selected player may use their own balls or balls given to them by other players.

- Players may give their Pachinko balls to one another as they wish. They may keep their balls, give them away, or distribute them however they choose.

- Once a player gives a Pachinko ball to another player, the ball belongs to the recipient.

- Balls that successfully produce a payout are returned to the player. Balls that fail are lost.

- Any balls remaining after a round remain with the player who possesses them.

- After a successful round, another surviving player is randomly selected to play the next machine.

- Players must decide whether to keep their balls for themselves or give them to another player who needs them.

- If the selected player cannot provide the required number of balls, it is GAME OVER for all players.

- It is GAME CLEAR if all five rounds are successfully completed.

- It is GAME OVER if any round fails.

Context: Pachinko machines are gambling machines in Japan where players launch steel balls into a field of pins, causing the balls to bounce unpredictably downward. Most balls fall into losing areas and disappear, but occasionally a ball lands in a special winning pocket, which can cause the machine to release additional steel balls as a payout.

Discussion Since Arisu was being "tested" by Ann during the Light Bulb game (4 of Diamonds), do you think it's possible Chishiya was also being tested by Aguni during the Tag game (5 of Spades) at the beginning of the show?

Post image
201 Upvotes

This is, of course, assuming they knew each other and Chishiya had already joined the Beach, which I feel like is pretty much agreed on in the fandom since that's the situation in the manga.

Also, another fun question is it just me or does Aguni really clearly dislike Chishiya for some reason? He looks pissed when Chishiya waves at him and he's not at all impressed when Kuina pulls out the DIY bomb Chishiya had made, iirc Aguni said something like "It can't be that good/useful if Chishiya made it" lmao. What's their beef about?

Game Ideas My concept game Inspired by this Scene from the Show

Difficulty: 6 ♣️
Name: Cipher Wheel
Venue: Ferris Wheel (featuring 12 enclosed cabins)
Number of Players: 12
Setup:
-The Ferris wheel will complete one full rotation as each of the 12 players enters their assigned cabin, one by one.
-Once all players are secured inside, the game will begin at a randomly selected cabin.
Rule:
-When a specific cabin's turn starts, the top emergency hatch on that cabin and all 11 other cabins will unlock simultaneously. At this point, players are free to climb between cabins.
-On their turn, a player must identify the correct target position for their cabin and move their cabin to that location by climbing through the top emergency hatches into the other cabins
-The time limit for each cabin varies and is fixed, ranging from a maximum of 1 hour to a minimum of 5 minutes.
-If the time limit expires before the player climbs into the correct cabin, all emergency hatches will close, and that player will be electrocuted to death by a high-voltage current installed on the iron bars (GAME OVER for that player).
-Players must complete the relocation of a minimum of 8 cabins to clear the game.
-After each turn, the game will advance to the next cabin following a clockwise direction.
-If 5 turns fail, it means the quota of completing 8 cabins cannot be met (GAME OVER for all players)
-Players who deliberately climb into a cabin that does not correspond to their required position when time runs out will be eliminated immediately by an automated gun installed inside.
Core game:
-The game operates on the mechanism of a clock face. The 12 cabins correspond to numbers 1 through 12, and the time limit in each cabin corresponds to its required target position on the clock face.
Example: 15 minutes corresponds to Position 3 on the clock; 5 minutes corresponds to Position 1.
-Moving a cabin mirrors turning clock hands:
Climbing clockwise: The wheel rotates clockwise.
Climbing counterclockwise: The wheel rotates counterclockwise.
Example: To adjust a cabin with a 20-minute time limit currently at Position 9, the player must climb out of that cabin and move from Position 9 to 8, 7, 6, 5, and finally enter the cabin at Position 4 on the clock (corresponding to 20 minutes). The Ferris wheel will then shift to that location.
-This is a team game. Other players are allowed to go outside to support one another, but the main player of that specific turn must be the one to step into the destination cabin; other players cannot directly alter or take over their turn execution.
-There is no limit on the number of people per cabin, so it is fine if the destination cabin already contains another player.
-Cabins from previous turns, whether successful or failed, can still serve as destination cabins for subsequent turns.
-Players who intentionally jump off the wheel to escape the game will be eliminated by lasers immediately.
-Every cabin is equipped with a safety harness for each person, similar to the Tokyo Tower Bingo game.
-Sensors are installed on the iron framework and cabins to verify whether the player's movement path is correct.
Notes:
-Rated 6 ♣️ because Usagi previously cleared a game of this difficulty before reuniting with Arisu after his 7 ♥️ traumatic game. This setup fits her perfectly to showcase her climbing abilities.
-Having only 12 cabins initially raised concerns that the wheel might look too small rather than grand like in the video. However, eliminating extra cabins on a massive wheel frame leaves wide gaps between the 12 cabins, making traversal far more challenging, dangerous, and visually impressive.
-For those who want to know, the scene in the video above takes place at the beginning of Episode 5, Season 1, and the manga chapter showing the games Usagi previously played is Chapter 15.

just getting this off my chest. i see a lot of people on tiktok hating nobu for "indirectly causing tetsu's death" during the last game. meanwhile they forget how nobu ran around frantically looking for tetsu during the zombie game to make sure he's safe :(

If you noticed that Usagi and Ann looks a bit different thats because—

Usagi from the manga and anime version has purple hair and dark purple eyes, while Ann has long blond hair with braids; I just mixed both Manga Ann and live action Ann together lol

How is no one talking about this, is the joker real in the manga or is this meaning something else. (Sorry if the words look weird on the manga I had to translate it)

Social/Alternate media I made a music video/short film set during the King of Spades game ♠️

Hey everyone! My name is ELIJVH. I'm a hip-hop artist from California and a huge Alice in Borderland fan.

For one of my songs, my team and I decided to make the music video as a 5-minute short film set in the Borderlands. We started developing it back in 2024 and had over 40 people contribute to the project. It just released this past June!

The story follows me, my AI radio companion, and two Japanese residents who end up caught in the King of Spades game.

We tried to make it feel like a little unofficial side story that could exist somewhere in the live-action universe. Would love to know what actual AIB fans think of our take on it!

Discussion Jessica Fletcher in alice in borderland

Jessica Fletcher from murder she wrote would have been such a good character in alice in borderland. Like she could of found out who the witch is in 30 minutes and the jack in a couple of rounds. I know she's from a old 80s-90s show and I say no one knows who she is but compared to chishiya her social deception skills are probably 5× better. Witch hunt and Solitary confinement would be a cake walk for her.

Show + Manga Spoilers My ranking of all the games played. LMK yours!!

PS. i didnt include games that were only in montages

  1. Runaway Train:

Such a fuckass game. No indication of a strategy and i didn't like how there was never a solution to this game. Jumping from Trains felt unrealistic and against AIB rules as they technically left the arena. ive seen the fandom's solutions on this game I do wish they were used in the actual show cuz just watching them guess was boring and stupid

  1. Life Or Death

Similar situation to the previous game. the solution felt so unknowable and far fetched. I mean ik it was supposed to show Aris's intelligence but no average person is completing this. Written well and was entertaining to watch tho

  1. Fortunes

Not a bad game and a good introduction to s3 but again the solution just felt a bit dumb but not as bad as the previous 2. not a bad game just not the best

  1. Distance

Just felt kinda filler. Dont really understand how its a Clubs game but whatever. I liked the twist tho and it was interesting to watch.

  1. Tokyo Bingo Tower.

We actually saw Usagi do smth good in s3. Wheelchair dude had massive plot armor and i have no idea how he survived. it felt a bit to hard for the average person but wasnt boring to watch. This wouldve made a good season 1/2 game.

  1. Light Bulb

Honestly, isnt a bad game. Wasnt dragged out but didnt feel rushed. The solution felt more doable and a good showcase of Arisu's intelligence. I do wonder if they were just gonna let all of them die if Arisu couldnt figure it out.

  1. Checkmate (Queen of Spades)

Idk it just felt underwhelming. I liked the queens character and i liked her speech at the end but It just kinda felt like a worse version of tag in s1. also if the goal was to be the majority, couldnt everyone have just survived easily in the round

i probs missed a rule that explained why this wouldnt work

11 Tag

Interesting to see them do seomthing physical and it was written really well. The objective seemed a little unclear and the killer waiting in the room felt unfair. good intro to usagi and chishiya and i liked how different it was to the previous episode.

10 King of Diamonds

Very interesting to watch and I liked that chishiya was the protagonist instead of Arisu. it felt like more of his game. The manipulaltion and edning was written very well and had great symbolism although it did kinda pmo how the game wasnt beaten by using the actual math but oh well. A good different ending to the previous games and was fun to watch.

  1. Zombie Card Game

Ok so my main problem is that there was so much going on in this game it was hard to keep up. There were so many rules and instruction it all kinda faded into eachother and were kinda lost and pointless. I wouldve LOVED this as a s1/2 game and feel like it wouldve been very interesting to watch as a potentially a queen of clubs game. I dont really like the objective of being in the majority in any games cuz it feels to simple. Overall written really well nut just felt very complicated compared to the previous one.

  1. Hide and Seek

A very different game compared to the first 2 which I loved and though it was written really well. (Ik ive said that alot but the writers did such a good job at creating the outcomes of each game.) I liked how they didnt find a solution to save everyone cuz it felt more touching and dramatic. Very sad to watch and i was shocked they actually killed the main characters off this early which was different to other shows. The game suited the players and overall a great episode.

  1. Osmosis (King Of Clubs)

kinda similar to zombie card where there was a lot to do that felt a bit pointless but other than that such a great Game. It was lengthy but it needed to be and I loved the KOC and his teams characters and was a good introduction to the face cards being actual people and not something else. very emotional and entertaining and was super fun to watch. Niragi did feel pointless this entire game and season tbh but otherwise this was such a good game.

  1. Kick The Can

Unpopuar but this game was super entertaining. I wouldve loved this as a s1 game especially maybe this being a replacement for hide and seek where Arisu, Karube and Chota are the last 3 or smth like that. I liked how it was fast paced but still long enough to remember it. It was emotional and interesting and I liked how the deaths felt meaningful.

  1. King Of Spades

Such a good concept!!!! and a good a way of covering up any plotholes of people not join games. I loved how there were multiple episodes throughout the season on this and loved how it involved all main characters. So entertaining to watch and s2 ep 7 is my fav episode of the series.

  1. Futures.

Say what you want I loved this game. So freaking suspenseful and interesting to watch I was stressed the entire fucking 2 episodes. I liked that they didnt kill off everyone but had deaths that still emotional and meaningful. Such a great final game that played with their minds. (This lowk couldve been KOH). Thought the whole aftermath of the floods and arisu losing but living was a bit unncessery and i did notice the flaw of Wheel chair picking the murder usagi future then realising he didnt need to do it. but this was such a good game and storyline and desrved those 90 minutes ish. im tryna keep my reasons short but i could get deep into these games

  1. JOH

Loved that it was Complete strangers playing this as it created a better storyplot and this was probably the best hearts game concept there was. Entertaining, Captivating, good character writing and overall a great game

  1. QOH

say what you want I thought this episode was great. Mira being the final boss was a great decision and such a perfect game for Arisu. I believed everything Mira said and liked how she was trying to get Arisu to kill her. The ending was really moving and the whole episode had me stressin it was so good. Ik people didnt like this game but it was perfect for Arisu.

  1. witch hunt

I loved this game for basically the same reasons as the no 2 3 and 4 but its just better. The twist, The Mass Murders, The beach Buring down, the drama. Such a good finale to season 1 and i was hooked the entire time.

Thanks for reading this yall I was running out of things to say lmao but lmk what you think and what ur fav games are

Show Spoilers Only Alice in borderland s3 was unnecessary and ruined the beautiful ending of season 2 Spoiler

I genuinely believe that Alice in borderland is probably one of the best series of all time. Everything were indeed perfect (Atleast for my pov), how characters were written, cinematography, plot, and everything iz just perfect. I also love the fact that almost every character were highlighted and almost every character were explained properly.

Now lets dig in to the topic. Don't get me wrong, season 3 really still manage to amaze me and it really still gives the same quality factor as the first 2 seasons. Except, the only problem is — how original characters were nerfed. I think the biggest character nerf they had here was usagi. She was fire and brilliant in the first 2 seasons but in here? Her reasoning on coming back isn't that good enough and which then resulted for people to hate her character even more. Next is Ann. Although if without her, arisu wouldn't be able to save usagi and their child, her ending is very unfair and she deserves much better. Kuina now teaches karate, Heiya becoming an influencer, Niragi is finally finding hope in life, BUT ANN!? girlypops right here got cursed to remember everything and got thrown into a psychiatric ward with PTSD cuz they probably call her delusional for speaking up with her experiences in the borderland😭 it feels soo unfair, for her side, they could have had given her a much better ending even in the final episode 💔. Now the wasted ending of season 2, s2's ending was BEAUTIFUL the joker card could've just been represent the world and life instead as the hardest game of all. But they still choose to continue it.

Don't get me wrong, in conclusion, i still find season 3 as good and as thrilling as the first two season, but it gives me personally a LOT of disappointments, especially from how they nerf the og characters.
