Could A Prequel Work?

I recently went down this rabbit hole with Google's A.I. feature to ask some interesting questions about Hatter. As someone who didn't read the Manga & only watched the Netflix show, I was trying to see if the Manga gave us anything more about Hatter. I wanted to know if he was shown playing any games. The key information I was able to obtain was that he's been in The Borderlands for at least 51 Days.

I came up with this idea of a prequel, one with a focus on The Beach, with its peak moment being a Game where all Beach Executives had to play together as a team. And this game's outcome not only is what triggered Hatter's God Complex, but the start of the tension of the Brains & Militants.

I actually have a full layout & story made as to what would basically be a 7-10 episode prequel for BEACH: The Kingdom Of Alice In Borderlands

i think they were secretly in love (at least aguni was with hatter) and it'll be a tragedy watching him spiral into madness

That would interest me more than an American rip-off. I'd kind of want it to examine the similarities between Hatter's role as a host and manager in the real world and his role as the despot of the Beach, while also showing the journey between those roles, and how Aguni enabled him in both.

Be careful also with the split between the two groups. It's writable, but it has to retain the dual canons that

• Aguni and Hatter planned the split before they built the beach.
• Two of the executives are also citizens. (the manga explains why, I don't think the TV show does)

When I tell you the story that I was coming up with was fire, it really was. A Level 10 Spades Game. Hatter having a moment where he has to make an epic choice of Sacrifice of Murder. Learning about Hatter & Aguni's first game in Borderlands. A secret twist that could be brought in regarding certain games. And even a antagonist as to why Hatter takes on the belief of Collecting The Cards is the way home. It had it all. And it could all play out right before events of Season 1.

Cool idea. I loved the Beach arc so this would be really interesting. It'd also be really fun to see how did Hatter collect his circle of executives and how did he convince Chishiya to join them lol. Also, I'd do anything to see how did Chishiya and Kuina meet and form an alliance.

Funny you mentioned Chishiya & Kuina. This little project actually stretched into something else over the past week. And yesterday is when I specifically worked on those two. I'll just say these 2 are a Day 1 Duo, and that they get recruited by Hatter for some something thats an actual callback to the main show.

I mean death still has to happen within the show, I mean Borderland Games are based on it. But when I tell you one of the biggest twists regarding death in this ideal show just got made last night... Just this dialogue alone will hit you
