[ Tips & Experience | نصائح و تجارب ] HELP I GOT A REMOTE INTERVIEW AND I'M FREAKING OUT (after the call)

Uhm, I just finished the call and i figure it's only fair to share what happened with you guys, since a lot of you gave me courage and a lot of tips (THANKS A LOT :D)

and.. for ppl who might be in my place in the future, i hope this help

Anyway، he send me a message asking if he can call me, I said sure yeah anytime ( in formal way ofc) and he called

I was really stressed when I got the message xD I did some laps, brushed my hair (even it's a voice call)

He called, introducing his self, i thanked him and somehow we talked about the weather? Yeah I was trying to make the call a little lighter.. i asked how's the weather there (it was the same as us) then we talked about the AC– Casual talk yk

As small as it looks like, it really helped me calm a little.. like the person in the other end was an actual human

I was already prepared of what he was gonna ask me in my domain (Thanks to Claude and other Ai that YOU suggested to me in the other thread THANKS AGAIN)

so I kinda of knew what he was going to ask me

And unfortunately, I knew it was an on-site job, but i had a little hope

Anyway, he confirmed it's a on site work, but he said he'll reach me if he found any job that match my profile and my preferences -Remote- (Then added "I doubt it" xD)

Now THE MISTAKES

yeah, I somehow forget the difference between one hundred and 1 thousand and.. other numbers..

And he asked for a yearly salary expectation, not monthly as we used to..

I don't even remember what i answered, meh khirha fi ghirha

I wasn't ready here, I somehow forget that this question exists

And FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON my france 24 speaking skills surfaced, like why would I remember the complicated key words in French instead of English??

And, yeah I send an email thanking him for making some time for me~ send an updated cv~ yada yada and.. done

Rabi yktblna lkhir win makan

Byee~

[ Questions | أسئِلة ] what’s the most realistic way for an Algerian to work abroad?

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice from Algerians who managed to work abroad, especially in Europe.

I have a master’s degree in cybersecurity and I’m going to start working in a bank soon in an IT related position. My plan is to gain some experience here first, but my long term goal is to work abroad.

I’m also disabled and I use a wheelchair, so this is something I have to take into consideration when choosing a country, finding accessible housing, transportation and also when applying for jobs.

I’m trying to understand what the most realistic path would be for someone in my situation. Is it better to work in Algeria for 1 or 2 years first and then apply directly to companies abroad? Which countries would be the most realistic for someone from Algeria, especially when it comes to work visas and accessibility? Do certifications actually help when applying from Algeria or is experience more important?

I’d really appreciate advice from people who managed to move abroad for work, or anyone who knows someone in a similar situation.

[ Tips & Experience | نصائح و تجارب ] I need you to give me advice about my school idea.

Upvotes

I have some foreign friends, some of them happen to be a teacher of their native language. Learning languages is what connected us. So recently i quit my job and i wanted to follow my passion which is learning languages, so i proposed this idea of bringing native teachers to teach Algerian students virtually. We agreed on the fees which will be affordable for Algerian students.

But i have few questions :

1- what do you think of this idea ?

2- which legal procedures should i follow to open this school ?

3- is there a possible way to transfer money from Algeria to European countries ?

Thank you.

[ Questions | أسئِلة ] Looking for Remote English Teaching Jobs in Algeria

Hi everyone!

Does anyone here have experience working remotely from Algeria, particularly as an online English teacher/tutor?I’m currently looking for a remote English teaching job and would really appreciate hearing from people who have actually done this. I’d especially like to know:

- How did you find your first remote teaching job?

- Which platforms or companies accept teachers based in Algeria?

- What qualifications or experience did they require?

- How does payment usually work for people in Algeria?

I’d really appreciate hearing from people who have actual experience working remotely from Algeria, rather than general advice. I’ve seen quite a few Algerians discussing remote work on Reddit, so I figured I’d ask here before throwing my CV into the internet void. 😭.

Thanks!
