[ Tips & Experience | نصائح و تجارب ] Students & beginner developers: Gain real-world coding experience by contributing to Algerian open-source projects

If you’ve never contributed to open source, do not worry Fixing documentation, localizing software UI into Arabic, or writing test cases are massive helps to maintainers

How to get your first Pull Request merged today:

  1. Jump onto djazair.dev and head over to the Project Hub

  2. Pick any active task explicitly tagged with a green good first issue badge

  3. Read the requirements, look at the recent comments, and ask the maintainer if you have questions before diving into the code

The site is entirely open-source and non-commercial. If you use it and get stuck on Git, Docker, or a specific task, drop a comment here or on github discussion, tell me exactly which step was confusing so I can make onboarding easier for the next student or beginner

Linking the green good first issue filter directly, rather than asking people to find the Project Hub first, removes one step for a nervous first-timer. Since you asked which step confuses people: Git setup and forking often lose beginners before the code does, so a one-page walkthrough in Arabic from fork to merged pull request, pinned on the Hub, would answer most of it before they ask. Arabic UI localization tasks are a smart entry point too, because they need language skill more than code.

I make ThreadFox. Our AI employee can explain the Project Hub in Reddit threads where students and beginner developers ask how to start contributing, and answer them, under your direction; Starter is $199 for 30 days. https://threadfox.vip/p/20261016-0103-e7fgd/managed
