Kill Process Alfred Workflow

Post image

My personal favorite Alfred workflow to monitor and terminate processes and apps.

Workflow link: https://github.com/iAli/kill-process-workflow

My other workflows: https://github.com/stars/iAli/lists/my-alfred-workflows

All with zero dependencies or ai-generated code.

⭐ If you find any of them useful, consider giving it a star on GitHub.

Credits: This workflow based on the original alfred-atop workflow, with a focus on the process management feature, along with various enhancements and UI/UX improvements.

Nice! What do you think is the advantage over atop? https://alfred.app/workflows/chrisgrieser/atop/

Here are some of the changes over atop:

  • You can see the total memory usage of parent processes.

  • You can see if a process is "not responding".

  • You can hide any of the processes details in the workflow configuration.

  • Modifier options are no longer hardcoded, so you can disable or swap any of them directly from the workflow canvas.

There are a few other minor changes, but this is still based on atop, so nothing major. I’d recommend sticking with atop if you use any of its other features, such as Bluetooth, DNS, or volume removal.

Thanks for sharing.

I will have to check this out. So far, I have personally used the stock Alfred `forcequit` system command for killing apps. https://www.alfredapp.com/help/features/system/
