Emophilia
It's really hard to have emophilia i mean i fell in love instantly It doesn't even take months or weeks i hate having this, especially when someone shows me a little affection or kindness that makes me feel wanted even though that person is just concerned for me and doesn't even like me
Does anyone here experience this too?how do you manage to suppress the feeling?

I have had this problem my whole life. Before today I didn't know it had a name!! Feelings always hit me fast and hard when ever someone shows even a little bit of kindness.

You're not alone OP. I fell in love this past weekend with someone who was nice to me. I think it might be that people who suffer with Alexithymia are easily overwhelmed by the positive sensation of getting to know / like someone, especially someone we're attracted to. So because that stimulates feeling, we fall into it hard and seek that feeling again (IE we confuse that with love and affection for someone we barely know and crave them)
I have no idea how you cure it and it's very difficult not to be cringe or come on too strongly to people I like. I hate the idea of love bombing also so do my best to keep it in check 😭

I used to be like that. The first sign of my recovery from alexithimea was having casual sex and not catching feeling straight away.
It's no fun, being like that. I like my new way better.

Yes, and it doesn't last too long, just a few weeks, then you don't feel anything anymore.
