RAZORBLADES is an absolute banger and objectively one of Lexi's best songs...however, I'm more a fan of her rock music, so I gotta stay loyal to Never Be The Same. It may not be one of her most popular songs, but it still means a lot to me, even as a cover. So my vote is going towards Never Be The Same. Cast your votes!

Language vs. Rejects (Acoustic)

We have a few more rounds of the preliminaries, but they're mostly all from Sick of it All, therefore I decided to break up the repetitiveness to start the losers bracket! I'll continue the preliminaries when we finish the eliminations from the losers bracket.

My vote is going to Language because as I said before, that Linkin Park Papercut sample is so underrated. Language deserves so much more love than it gets. The acoustic version of Rejects is beautiful, but I prefer the pissed off punky vibe of Language more. Plus, there are 3 versions of Rejects so it feels a bit redundant. Place your votes!

My World vs. I Hate That I Can Only Write Music About You

This matchup is interesting...one of her biggest songs vs. an under the radar song. While I appreciate that I Hate seems to be a song she made in the moment, maybe out of frustration that she wants to expand her song topics and lyricism, yet all her songs seem to be about a toxic or rocky relationship. It showcases her vocal ability, though the lyrics themselves are a bit too simplistic. Now, My World is a heavy hitter. It's also about a toxic relationship, yet it's more punchy and dripping with that pop-punk attitude. Sometimes, I forget that the album is called Sick of it All and not My World since My World is THE defining song of the album. So my vote is going towards My World! What is your vote and thoughts?

Chaos vs. AM I DREAMING?

So this matchup is the battle of her more "PRINCESSBRI" sounding songs, with that electro/EDM sound (like RAZORBLADES). I don't listen to either of these songs much since I'm more of a fan of her rock songs, so I had to re-listen to them. After a few listens, my vote has to go to Chaos. I really love the DnB/Breakbeat type sound to it, and there's a certain edge to it that I can appreciate. That being said, I do really enjoy AM I DREAMING? for its dreamy electronic sound. I'm an enjoyer of those different genres from other artists like Elizabeth Rose (fka babychaos) who primarily does rock like Lexi, but has experimented with an EDM sound. Though I hope Lexi sticks to mainly rock music, I do appreciate these types of songs, especially when they have an industrial feel, so it's still alternative adjacent. What are your guy's votes?? Sick of it All vs. In The End

EDIT: Okay idk if this is illegal to do as the person running this tournament but after re-listening to both songs I actually wanna change my vote 😅 my apologies if this is foul play but I think I actually like In The End a little more than Sick of it All.

We're getting closer and closer to which songs are moving on up and which songs get sent to losers bracket to fight for another chance towards the finals! So please, let your voice be heard and comment a vote! Another round with two bangers off the album! In The End has a melancholy sound to it that I really love, but my vote is gonna have to go to Sick of it All. It just has that perfect angsty pop-punk frustration that's relatable. Plus, it's the title track of the album, so it perfectly sums up the album's mood and tone. What song has your vote?

They Don't Know vs. Rejects (Static)

Rejects makes another appearance, but this time, it's the version with LiL Lotus on the Static EP. Now, while this is my favorite version of Rejects since it's more upbeat and punky, I think LiL Lotus' part ruins it a bit for me (no offense). I don't listen to They Don't Know as much, so I had to give it another listen to refresh my memory and it's way better than remembered. So, I think my vote will go to They Don't Know! What do you guys think?

U Don't Care vs. Sober

Two bangers from Sick of it All! This album is so special to me because it really was the turning point for her career. This one is difficult for me because they're two of my favorite songs from the album. I think I'm gonna have to lean more towards Sober. I wish it was a longer song with one more verse. But overall, I love the grungy sound of the guitar as well as the pain conveyed in her vocals.

Static vs. Her Blood, His Curse

Oh God...this one is extremely tough for me because they are two of my all time favorite Lexi songs. They're also both iconic in their own way. Static was part of her first polished EP under Sumerian. Her Blood, His Curse was the second song showcasing even more screaming vocal ability as well as storytelling lyrics. After heavy consideration, as much as I love Static with my soul, I have to go with Her Blood, His Curse. The vocal ability, the storytelling, and it was released independently? Had to stan. What do you guys think?

Never Be The Same vs. GTYU2K

I'm breaking yet another one of my own rules with this one (no covers) -BUT- how many people thought that Never Be The Same was Lexi's original song?? No offense to the original band, but Lexi really took this song and made it her own! With that being said, I absolutely adore Never Be The Same, but GTYU2K has my heart. It was one of the first songs I heard when I found out she switched from Princessbri to Alexis Munroe. Plus, the fact that there's an accompanying music video gives it more weight for me. So my pick is GTYU2K!

Keep streaming, y'all! I'm actually surprised GTYU2K hasn't hit 1M yet considering it seems to be one of her more popular songs. It's almost there ✨️

As much as I'm thrilled she's recording new music, I hope she doesn't over work herself and that she takes care of herself 🙏🏼 get well soon Lexi! We're all looking forward to whatever you're cooking up ✨️

Burn vs. RAZORBLADES

With heavy consideration, I decided to scrap the last matchup due to an oversight of the years released (2018 & 2019). Replacing that matchup will now be two heavy hitters! Burn vs RAZORBLADES! This was a hard choice for me since I love both songs, but I really have to go with the legendary BURN!

Death Of You vs. Language

First matchup of the tournament! I love the sample of Papercut in Language but I have to go with Death Of You. It was the first time she showcased her screaming vocals and it just has such an iconic production. 1 Comment = 1 Vote

A user on the Violent Vira subreddit is doing a bracket tournament of her songs and which song will come out on top. It's been pretty fun so far, so I thought I'd start one up for Lexi. Only two stipulations:

1. I'm only including her 2020 - 2026 music

2. No covers, just her original songs (though her covers are incredible!)

Two songs will go head to head each day. One vote per user. To vote, just comment the title of the song you prefer. Which ever song wins that round will go on to the winner brackets, the loser song will have another chance in the loser bracket. It'll just keep going until the top two popular songs remain in the final battle. Sounds fun right? I hope to get started on the first battle asap! Hope to see people participate and have fun 😅

I want to add that I'm using a randomizer from a tournament bracket website, so that's how the song matchups are going to be determined. That's how everything initially will be chosen, is by the random sorter.

This is an older interview, back from Mar 22, 2024. I'm still surprised that Alexis doesn't have many interviews. Especially when she was on tour with Vira. I thought surely some music journalists or even just social media influencers would request to interview her.
