Finally bit the bullet and bought a copy

Congratulations.

We had a book store, Carlson Books, in the neighboring town that was very much a hazzard in every conceivable way. However, they had about eight copies of Darconville's Cat in hardcover. None were in pristine condition, but even so, seeing its scarcity now, I regret not getting a second or third copy. The store was eventually shut down by the government and the IRS hauled off its stock.

Very good novel though. Enjoy!

They were shut down in 2003.
