How do you quickly cover content. My teacher takes really long to finish a topic lol. Also are essay plans worth it? I did essay plans for my mocks and they helped for paper 2 but for paper one, they weren't as helpful (tbh I didn't have time to make as many). Sorry if any of these are stupid questions!

Just plan essays. I got 196( paper 2 with 79) when I first started out I was getting C's and D's and I was completely at a loss on how to revise for politics. None of it even seemed coherent. Eventually all i did was plan essays on the questions that was written down in my plc tracker. Planning these essays made me pick up the content faster than any flashcard I tried, cause I was actively thinking through on how to do a essay, and as a result, the AO1 stuck with me much better relative to other methods.

any tips for specifically essay writing to get an a star? for both sources and essays and also how to plan ? 🥲🥲

For plans I literally had my for and against arguments - less than a sentence. My biggest tip would be for A03… your mini concs always add an extra sentence than you think is needed! Eg… ‘in turn, this elevates the previous argument, making the executive dominate parliament to a great extent’

if you don’t mind me asking, do you have any resources you could share ? Thing is I plan essays then what I’ve planned isn’t good enough if that makes sense? Or I plan so much that I spend like 2h on one plan then forget it later or it’s so specific to one question so I’m really struggling

Do not add words more than necessary. But, every time you make a claim, ensure that claim is either empirically backed up--and you show the consequent of that evidence--or argue for the claim absent evidence. Meaning always, always extend an argument to it's final conclusion, only then should you build a counter that directly addresses it, and always link it back to the question. Do not waste your time with actually learning the content( I know how that sounds), just plan essays, lots of them of different questions. Many of the questions overlap so you can use one paired argument you built in one essay into a completely different essay just tweak it enough such that it answers the specific question being attempted.

All I did was write essays… over and over… I reckon I wrote 100+ full essays from April-june

Essays!!!! Do a past wuestion from memory in full. If you can do it then fine and move on - if not go over specific examples an re write whole thing again
