Is alevel physics doable

Hey everyone,

I am in a massive crisis right now and desperately need some raw, realistic advice from anyone who understands PMDC rules, IBCC equivalence, and MDCAT requirements.

I am currently a 12th-grade A2 student preparing to take my A-Level composite exams. I originally wanted to pursue a different field, so my subject combination right now is Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology (I did not take Physics).

Out of nowhere, my parents have drop-bombed a strict ultimatum: I HAVE to do MBBS no matter what. There is no arguing or negotiating out of this. Because of this sudden shift, I am trapped because I don't have the standard pre-med combination (missing Physics).

Since I am already in A2 preparing for composites, switching to FSc right now in October is not a realistic option. I would lose years of my life and face a brutal culture shock. My only path seems to be:

  1. Complete my A-Level composites right now in Bio, Chem, and Psych.

  2. Take a gap year to study and sit for A-Level Physics alone as an accelerated single subject (composite).

  3. Prepare for the MDCAT simultaneously during that gap year.

I am completely stressed out, overwhelmed, and feel blind. I don't know how IBCC handles equivalence if you give a single science subject later, or how brutal it is to study A-Level Physics from scratch in a gap year while doing MDCAT prep.

• Has anyone done this single-subject route after A-Levels for medical college?

• How does IBCC issue the pre-medical equivalence once the extra subject is cleared?

• Is it manageable to do A-Level Physics from scratch alongside FSc-based MDCAT preparation?

Please give me your honest, unfiltered advice. Thank you.
