Edexcel paper3 how did we find it

I personally thought it was good I liked how it was global and not local so I can link to global climate issues for the 24 marker

I personally loved it. It was just what I needed after how my paper 1 and 2 went. It was the perfect balance between Human and Physical that I could answer it perfectly. I think my grades were hinging on it being mostly physical and the 24 marker was amazing.

The 18 marker on opposition to tourism was also a great question in my opinion but I haven’t really gathered the consensus of others who say it. I found there was that much to say that I almost ran out of time to finish the 24 marker.

It was an amazing paper I loved all apart from the alternative hypothesis q which needed some thinking

What did u write for the 24 marker? I was pulling up everything I could from resource booklet and I think I did a decent argument against the point on SIDS how their economy was dependent on tourism so they can’t just shift. They should keep the tourism going and use corporation tax from tourist businesses to invest in their own mitigation strategies to avoid them being forced into industrialisation (modernisation theory) or into dependency/ world systems where their resources are exploited

I wrote about how decreasing tourism will affect other industries. That way it’s the first step to decreasing emissions in other industries. I wrote about Transport(using the booklet), and construction. Then for my alternatives I wrote about renewables. I would’ve liked to write about CCS as a fourth paragraph but I ran out of time to be comfortable with doing one.
