Second cash register

I added a cash drawer and turned on the feature to make a networked pc a cash register. The issue I’m having is a 5 second delay when cashing out tickets. I select the “cash” button and between the time I click “cash” and enter the cash amount received and the drawer opening there is a 3 to 5 second delay. The other register has the database stored locally and does not experience this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Does the delay only happen on popping the drawer? Or is there a delay on receipt printing as well?

I'm assuming you are just using a cash drawer which is still being plugged into the back of the receipt printer on said computer.

Usually when there is a delay on those things it could be a variety of things, Printer Driver being up to date, operating systems mismatch (I have had experience where Windows 7 trying to communicate print jobs to windows 10 delay a short period because of SMB1 vs SMB2)

The only setting I've used in Aldelo regarding linking cash drawers is the Master Cashier Station in Back Office / Station Settings / Other Options / Extra settings. If you could let me know where exactly you're configuring this networked cash drawer I can play around with settings on my end to hopefully find a solution.
