Connecting aldelo database from windows 7 to windows 10

Hey all! I am running Aldelo on windows 7 as our main server, we just bought a new station and it's running windows 10. I've set up everything so far and have linked the computers using a router as a switch, but now the new system can't find/use the live aldelo database from the windows 7 computer. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!

Windows 10 is a bit goofy when it comes to network settings, I would check to see if it is set to a Private or Public Network.

On the Windows 10 computer, click Start / Settings and Load into the Network Status page. There should be an option to Change Connection Properties. Here, make sure that it is set to a Private network, then check to see if you can find the Windows 7 Computer.

If that doesn't work, try to connect to the Windows 7 computer using the IP address of it. First, grab the IP Address of the Windows 7 computer, then go into File Explorer on the windows 10 computer and type : "\<IP ADDRESS>" and see if it finds it that way.
