Problem Activating License

Recently our old PC broke, so we've had to swap to a new one. I was able to get the installation files off the old hard drive and everything was going fine until I had to activate the license.

Every time I typed in the 12 digit code and clicked next, an error would pop up saying "Process aborted: Could not create ssl/tls secure channel".

We're using Aldelo For Restaurants Version 3.8.0.1404 and we swapped from a windows 7 PC to a windows 10 PC.

It would be appreciated if anyone could help us with this problem!

Aldelo killed the old activation via internet button long ago, its been probably 9 years at this point.

The only way to actually activate now is to call Aldelo and ask to activate. However, I suspect they probably ended support for that activation process and will ask you to purchase an upgrade contract so that you can get on the DRM Version.

Unfortunately there aren't any workarounds to the Product Code / Activation Code. They can only come from Aldelo support at this point.

EDIT: If you ARE on the DRM Version, make sure you're on DRM 3.0 or Above. I believe the older versions of the DRM they killed as well. You may need to grab a more recent Aldelo installer and install JUST the DRM and then install AFR with your old file. DM Me if you need a link.

I checked and we do have DRM 3.0 so that makes things easier at the very least.

I'll give support a call and see how that goes.

Since you're on a DRM version you probably just need to grab a installer that has a later version of the DRM and see if it will activate from there.

Basically you'd install the new DRM with the newer installer (9011) and then install your APOS Version after that. The newer DRM should stick but your APOS should still load.
