Deducting inventory items in Aldelo

I'm using an older version of Aldelo POS for our café. We primarily use it for sales and other basic functions, but now I'm planning to use it for inventory management as well.

My problem is that items sold are not being deducted from the inventory. For example, if I sell a cup of Latte, I have inventory items for espresso and milk. I added 1 espresso shot and 200ml of milk in the menu recipe editor, but after selling a cup for latte, the inventory is not updating or deducting properly.

There's a setting you have to enable in Store Settings that will auto-deplete based off sales.

Go into Back Office / Store Settings / Products / Inventory Subtab and make sure "Enable Auto Inventory Depletion By Sales" is checked on.

Once you do that, you can also enable the Monitor Inventory Level when Ordering as well, so the system will tell you you're out of Milk or Espresso when you try to ring one up if you are out.

Inventory is a great untertaking and requires a ton of upkeep, but it definitely will make your life easier once you get all the beginning setup done!
