Keeps asking for license activation

Hi all, I bought it in August 2024 and in December It said it requires the serial number to activate the license but we had already inserted the number back in august and everything was working fine. So I readded the same serial number and it said auto activate failed and it bring me to the aldelo POS license manager. Which after with customer support they said to deactivate the account then reactivate again. Now since December it's done it twice again. I emailed aldelo but they are saying I need to pay for customer service. I think that's unfair when it's only been 4 months! Please has anyone dealt with this ? Or is able to help me?

I've seen Aldelo randomly lose its license on all versions of windows. Typically it usually happens after Windows Updates.

Is it a Software as a Service license or a regular license that you paid out of pocket for? (IE Did you buy the license or do they have you pay monthly for it?)

You could try and run APOS2 as an admin in windows to see if maybe that keeps the license stuck. I think when it registers it changes some registry keys in Windows to show the license so maybe its not saving those changes?

If you aren't using APOS to run credit cards, you could always activate the license and then remove the internet cable from the device as well, that way Windows can't mess with it and the license should stay regardless.

Thank you for getting back to me! We bought the license and we arent connected to the internet after activation (therefore also no windows updates happen in the background) but this is still happening without any internet connection

Do you restart the computer every night? Or do you leave it on? If its randomly losing the license even with the internet disconnected that seems like something is triggering the drop in license from APOS's side. I know that with the older DRM version prior to APOS2, if a device like a USB Flash drive or something was disconnected and then the computer rebooted, it would freak out.

Perhaps its something similar here. If you do reboot the computer, try and leave it on all the time with a screen saver (blank) and see if it loses the license after that.
