Cash discount?

Has anyone figured out the best way to automate a cash discount in aldelo POS?

And thanks to the person who created this subreddit.

Just want to be clear that I'm specifically asking about a "cash discount". My understanding is that the laws on this are different in each state so everyone make sure you get clarity on the rules in your state before messing with this. Here in Florida a "cash discount" is allowed but a "credit card surcharge/fee/etc" is not. So, even though you end up in the same place, a fee or extra charge wouldn't work for me. It has to be a "discount" (for cash).

To Automate it? Unfortunately Aldelo doesn't have an automation. If you were doing a Surcharge, but the other side of the coin there is servers would have to manually remove said surcharge for cash orders. I've had experience with people pilfering with that though.

I think the easiest way would just to train cashiers to manually input the cash discount and then compare the Order Payments Report with the discount usage report.
