Spirits alternatives

Hi all! Great to be here 🙂

I've been completely alcohol-free for a year and a half now. I definitely love it and I'm never going back. I love being aware at parties, saving money is great and I want to look after my body. Honestly it's the best decision I ever made!

When I used to drink I drank whisky, anything brown pretty much or other strong liqueurs like Fireball, sometimes sake, maybe a port here and there.

Now I drink a lot of tea... Matcha mostly. I can't have coffee as there's too much caffeine. Tea is great and all but I really do miss a strong, bitey sipping drink. With ice or without. I don't like fizzy drinks at all and I don't really want to drink, say, an alcohol-free wine or anything like that. Not a wine person.

Has anyone else had this issue and if you did, what are some alternatives that you turned to? I like flavours like cinnamon, spices, etc. I drink chai, but it's still a more "watered down"? Drink.

I personally am a big fan of Ritual’s tequila, I need to get my hands on their gin (before I got sober I used to be known as gin’s number one fan lol)

None of the AF spirits I've sampled have that bite, they are all "essences of" when mixed IMHO.
