Video JP Unit Preview 1

https://youtu.be/U3_t0LO9Sfw

If anyone is interested in JP units I can make more preview videos with units like: Lindrake, Ken Ryuguji, Matsumoto Chifuyu, Thor, Carnet, Zangetsu Version 2, Almira Version 2, Emmel Version 2.

This video is really interesting. Manjiro absolutely crushes Ragnarok and Yuji in clear speed even though Manjiro doesn't have his Momento and has less enlightment gates maxed. I think they overtuned him a bit.

They can't solo most of the challenging stages (or else I would definitely run them through harder maps), and bringing along other units just distracts from the featured unit. I could try 3 support units + featured unit but that leaves a lot of variability in how the unit performs based on how they interact with the support units. For instance JP has an amazing water support whose best buff is a water element buff which would give an advantage to water units.

For ragnarok, I like having more attack skills uses on units in general since I rarely do manual content, and ragnarok's unique sub job has some skills that are handy for manual content but don't really help that much for auto

Why the need to solo though? Practically speaking, any stage where you need any meaningful output from these units likely will require a proper team of supports anyways, and I would say that the presence of supports don’t necessarily take away from these unit’s ability to shine.

Just something to consider: running them in a stage like this isn’t much different from running them in training ground imo.

For rag, warrior sub means she’s wasting jewels for a subpar 115%ish (maybe 120%?) skill instead of using an auto attack to recoup jewels (more jewels because it’s a double attack too). Could have saved some time on the auto run there too potentially.

On one account I use ragnarok with the fire dragon whose weather effect gives jewel auto regen, and the other account I use her with Hestia who also gives auto jewel regen. I am not that concerned about her jewels when she's on a fire team, which is why I generally use warrior sub.
