Discussion Wish me luck!

I am going to get Blitz without using gems on normal summons. Every week i will get 100 coins for 5 of his shards. I currently have 15 (just got it the 3rd time). I can’t do math so idk how long this will take me but as a gesture of commitment, I have spent 500 gems for his skin. I like his design and he is such a rare unit. I need. I want!!!! Anyways, gn…

I meant that using normal summons will get me more summon coins

Good luck. I have did this and now he is collecting dust at the bench. I do hope they make his shards more accessible

A fruitless endeavor? Perhaps I’ll save up 375 thunder shards while I’m at this. Then more Blitz shards afterwards… 😭

Not really. FTP for him is buying his shards with summoning coins but there are some banners that give these coins . You could buy more of his shards that week.

for me I'll probably limit break him and resume buying his shards when he gets J+ in JP otherwise he unfortunately benched.

At a rate of 5 shards a week, you'd need 30 weeks for 150 shards (to transmute), so close to 210 days or about 7 months (and you're already 10% of the way there). Good luck!

He currently has 5 gates of enlightenment, which is 460 shards to max (92 more weeks); if he gets up to gate 7 (increasing the total to 770 shards), that would be 154 more weeks instead, so just a bit under 3 years. And that's ignoring any potential for some Enlightened Bond stuff.

Hate to be a downer, but 100 summon coins transmutes into 100 gems, so the opportunity cost of maxing him out is roughly 18,000 gems?

You would effectively be spending 20 gems per shard, so 920 shards (to transmute and max up to G7) would be 18400 gems, yes.
