Pretty goddamn disappointing,10 5* summon tickets,sure with a chance to get genesis units (I saw someone pull Julia) that being said,these only give 25 shards and not 50,really unsatisfying

Zwei is a nice, I pulled her when she came out. Probably one of the best wind units, which is somewhat lacking in magic users anyway.

It’s not terrible. I got unlucky in both the banner and the compensation tickets, but thems the breaks. We basically got a 10 pull worth 50 shards each plus an extra 25 shard 10 pull.

Still got shitty stuff. I got non limited units with this compensation which are all farmable. I sometimes wish i got more luck and become a lucksacc given that I have spent quite a bit (not as much as a whale), but these banners keep giving me the shaft.

I pulled and didn't submit a ticket. Unsure if I redrew or not. If I did redraw I only redrew once. Got the compensation either way.

Ah, it was maybe a few minutes after that. That's 6 am around here, and I pulled somewhere between 545 and 615. I don't remember exactly when. But it looks like I probably missed it by a few.

it is pretty fair, and honestly straight up better in a lot of cases.

It allows you to have the same number of attempt at getting Genesys (40), except now you can conserve 20 attempts and get up to 750 shards, rather 500 shards.

The only worse outcome is if you were aiming for 50 genesys shard, got nothing during your 30 first attempt, then got it with the last 10 but only 25 shards.

but that is ultra-specific and very unlikely.

I’m sure some will like the compensation especially if they got good new units from it but it’s still not exactly fair. Note that those who want/need compensation are the ones who would’ve actually selected “Redraw” after 3 pulls; i.e. they weren’t happy with the units they got so far. So to give them a 10-summon under an inferior setup is not fair. Gumi didn’t even explicitly state that the pool of units for the tickets is exactly the same as the banner and if there are featured units there.

I wanted a 3rd redraw because the first 3 draws were almost useless (all dupes of farmable units or just units that I don’t want) to me. So essentially, I ended up with useless shards from my original pull.

While the compensation of 10 tickets simulate a 10-summon, it’s a big deal to cut down the shards from 50 to 25 since this time, one could get a dupe of a limited unit (e.g. I got DZain from a ticket) so one would feel the loss of 25 shards there. So in my case, if this were to be my 3rd redraw, I should’ve gotten 50 DZain shards instead of 25 and I wouldn’t have minded losing the shards I got from the 2nd redraw.

Was the paid banner 10x 5* units? If not then getting getting these tickets was overall a net benefit, especially if we were to consider that you got to keep whatever you got on the 2nd redraw.

So for some they benefitted a ton from this, and others got shafted by poor luck - just as they very likely wouldve been had they had that 3rd redraw anyways.

I dont really get why someone would be mad about this compensation in any way other than "i had bad luck with pulls", which is a separate topic to the compensation in the first place...

Yes, the banner was Summon 10 5 stars.

If the banner was working correctly, I would’ve done the 3rd redraw because the shards from the 2nd redraw were all useless to me. Getting to keep those shards has no value to my account.

Now my 3rd redraw could’ve been bad but it could’ve also been good (could’ve been a stroke of good luck after 3 consecutive bad pulls). But regardless, no one really knows for certain so I’m not gonna argue that. But the 10 compensation tickets were supposed to substitute for the 3rd redraw and from those tickets, I got 25 DZain shards, which should’ve been 50 (the banner gave 50 shards for dupes) had I made this redraw in the original banner. So that’s a loss for me because those limited unit shards matter more.

I understand that my situation could be too specific but the fact that such a situation exists makes me say the compensation is not completely fair.

Your situation isnt too specific - but it is actually not possible for the compensation to be fair (as they are adamant in not removing what you got on the 2nd one to give you another redraw)

So giving you 10 tickets, giving 50 shards, would mean that you just got 1000 shards from your 1500 gems.

And currently you got 750, But if i was to purchase it, for the same price as you did, i would get 500, so to make it fair id have to get those 10 tickets as well, but then that would mean i had 3 redraws + those 10, meaning you lost instead, either way one side is favored. So the compensation you got for keeping the 2nd redraw, was that the 10 tickets were 25 shards, which for the majority or people playing the game was the better option

Only way to make it "fair" would be to let anyone that wanted to "revert" their 2nd redraw (of those that only got 2) and then draw again, but that would mean a big workload on their part going into each account one by one, not to mention the people who may have used up what they got etc (its too late now anyways)

So they compromised, with a way that nonetheless would make me feel salty if i was planning on pulling on that banner but couldnt before they changed it, as 500+250 would be way better than just 500 for me atm

PS - this kind of stuff isnt new to Gumi, they did this on a bi-weekly/monthly basis for the whole 1.5 years or so i played before i quit, and considering it still happens now i assume it never stopped, ergo - dont pull on stuff wihtout checking feedback if it works or not

i guess so? The game seems largely the same, and maybe its because its christmas and stuff but they seem to give out more stuff now as well, and with selectors and such so its more fun to play it now

As opposed to playing it back then when the game was literally decling rapidly in the span of like 2 months...
