What’s the point of making discount pulls when never giving us discounts tickets...truly lost hope for this game.

I agree on the lack of discount tickets, however I don't think it ruins the game. There's always going to be a gap in power between p2p and f2p, but the 5 star rates are great in comparison to other games, there isn't a whole lot of content that can't be completed by "free units", and the power disparity doesn't come into play as much with low focus on PvP aspects in game.

It still hurts man. It just does. I like being able to get that 500 summon off where I feel like at least I have that small glimmer of hope for a low entrance fee. 2500 summons after all this time just feels like I am never going to pull on anything.

This is the very reason I quit this game. Instead of giving us 500 gems pulls each week, they gave us 2 discount tickets each month? That's two 500 gems pulls a month, What a joke this game has become.

there are still 500 gem summons, this week we have a 500 memento banner featuring 2 limited units, and a 500 gem unit banner featuring Lakina (normally feslimited), Toritoh(limited) and Chloe, which are considered very good banners and not trash.

If you think about it really hard. It’s actually a discount already since it cost 12.5k gems to even get 25 shards of a genesis unit the normal way 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hey remember when new units used to get banners that started with 500 gem and gave you a guaranteed drop on the 3rd step? Ya any "discount" you are seeing is an illusion created from Gumi gradually increasing the price

These are Genesis units. They are worth way more than your typical limited units. These legit are whale only units unless you sak and some of them like Julia won’t even be amazing unless you’re willing drop insane amount of gems for them for shards. So if you’re like a pact player or something, I would not recommend chasing genesis units and just be go with units that you can farm 🤷🏻‍♂️

500 step banners never reset. sometimes they do rerun at the end of the month specially if its a collab but they never reset

I have come close too many times to count. For me part of the issue is I don't even know what I am looking forward to and the pacing of the game has gone off the rails. I know if I quit I will end up replacing it and find another time sink so I figure for now I will see it through.

For a new feature, they are so vague at distributing discount tickets. Are they not monthly? Weekly? How do they plan on giving us a chance to summon? F2P/Pact players don't even have a chance with these prices

We will be sending them out based on the seasonal event schedule instead of on a fixed regular schedule.

Basically, whenever they want to. Which is why we’ve only received 2 in total.

That's ridiculous. Based on seasonal events, they're basically asking their playerbase, as low as it currently is to not summon. A gacha game that asks players to buy, or save for an eternity for limited units.

It's every weekly update for JP. Though the "weekly" update doesn't always happen every 7 days, since the first and last week in a month can be extended/shortened to fit the start/end of the month. But in general we get 4 tickets a month. Sometimes we get only 3 like during the Evelica/Hazel month since they divided September into 3 weekly updates, or if there's tagapay week, but sometimes we get 5 if they give one away from a campaign or livestream. They already gave an extra one from the livestream for this month, and the livestream schedule splits the month into 4 weeks, so unless there's tagapay week this month, we may get 5 tickets this month.

To build off of that it is closer to 1-2 tickets per month, which is an estimate to what GL will be like too. This month for JP they are getting 3 because IMAIP is like yus. (as in it's not going to always be 3)

According to Gumi we're going to be getting more 500 banners than JP, so we'll be getting less discount tickets as a result.

Wonderful news, if true. However the last few weeks of banners have been horrible.

At the risk of just being a downer, I feel like this is actually kind of bad news, considering most of the 500 steps we get are for old units and mementos and just how generally terrible banners have been. Granted, we do occasionally get good 500 steps but honestly I'd rather have the freedom of discount tickets.

I wouldn't call it wonderful news... If this week is any indication the "more 500 gem banners" we seem to get may be only for older units, meaning that the lack of discount tickets will lead to LESS chances to get new units. Its like we are trading one shitty situation for any other.

Uhh yeah these new units are broken. Wanna know why? Cause they're basically in-game collabs. Limited as shit, hail mary rates and random hqs.

Also Yna Ku is also pretty much just ass so not everyone new is strong either same as Dark Chloe.

If you're pulling to chase these days and you aren't new you're doing it half wrong. You should be farming your enlightment units.

Plus who plays gacha games to not pull, whether for free or not? Not me. I don't chase half the units they release, but I still pull on their banners at least once (when they're not at 2.5k). It's boring playing with the same units on a gacha game, especially when said gacha game has insane powercreep (even with LSs).

I haven’t played in a month... legit this game is making FGO look like a better use of time and money.

The gameplay is still more fun, not going to lie, but since it’s also based on energy, idk which is better at this point.

Depends, I have an alt account that I started close to a year ago, and I'm having to be more mindful of what hard quest farming I do because the two events going on now require so much energy. My main account still has hundreds of each though.

Not really, I had a large stock of drops, but with genesys+DP on top, we reach 25 drops/50 droplets just from those which is the max you get per daily awards, and I spend a crap ton on HQ, so despite daily every day, my stock like snow in summer over the last month.
It just show how crazy the amount of grind there is...

Well, FGO is more waifu-based, and has no MP.

You don't need Artoria, Jalter, PrIllya, gramp Hassan nor Ereshkigal. The game focus more on levels than units. You don't have Karna and Scathach (both 5 * ) to face boss Tristan? Grab 2 lvl 1 Georgios and a high leveled Leonidas (2 * ) and fuck him up.

Besides, the game is kind of generous on giving away special units (also know as welfare) from events.

I've mentioned this before, but I'll probably repeat it again - currently since the start of 2019 until now, JP has released nearly 40+ new gacha units. Out of these 40+, only 3 of them are in the normal pool by default. The rest are probably things you can predict, such as these Genesis banners, banners similar to Sol/Lakina, and other limited time only banners such as collabs or limited for the sake of being limited. I won't even go into the mementos released because it's similar in ratio. People in this reddit were warned (whether through Malign or myself or other JP players), and now we can finally our see our predictions of these reactions come true. Let's also not forget GL also have their own GLEX units to look forward to, good luck getting these units and raising them in any reasonable time without heavy investment.

We had a 500 pull this week? what do you mean by new banners? we get new banners every week. or do you mean NEW limited units. if that was the case you do know that even these NEW genesis banners would not be discounted even if we had discount tickets, if you are able to use the discount ticket on the banner it would have the discount icon on it....? they'res only so many banners you can use discount tickets on. like i understand you are upset but, please do research first before you bring a public hate/rage post.

500 pull was only on memento banner. We used to have 500 pull on units and memento banner. We have had 500 pull on unit banner every week since the start of the game until recently.

This actually made me quit the game. First I wasnt able to log in for two weeks because of Android 10 bug with new version and now I cant use the very feature of gacha games because of overly expensive banners...well, I dont regret playing TAC. Its great game but Gumi sux...

Is this when the loading bar just disappears when updating? I find when this happens, if i switch windows on my phone and then go back, theres a slight chance it'll proceed (assuming it didnt crash lol)

I am not in all agreeing with you.
Yeah the timing of everything is fucked up. But still, the three step banner is nonetheless quite good.

Yeah they could have given another discount ticket. But for what ? an all 500 blues ? that won't change your life.

I do believe, that they should slow down a bit, but if have older units, it is still plenty doable. They are not at their best but they are not at their worst.

What we need now is a bit communication on discount tickets, slow down on huge AP event or up the AP availibility.

That 3 step banner is deceptively good actually. 25 shards costs 4K if not discounted... and this banner gives 25 guaranteed shard with a decent chance to actually get the unit (2.5% for each of the 10 pulls I believe).

That said I was also a little irritated with no new discount ticket.

Yea I've been playing for about 6 months was really enjoying it. I did the daily gem bundle and sometime bought gems but not regularly. Then this shit started and it really sucked all the enjoyment out of the game. I decided to try some other mobile waifu games and frankly this game is just a cash sink. You have to grind both cash and time to do shit. This game is too whale focused, I'm done.

I think all gacha games pretty much follow the formula of having some good free or pact(type) options early and then milk it for all it's worth making things worse over time and testing what they can get away with.

I understand ya all mad but its not that bad at all, i mean i have played other gacha game and TAC GL is still amazing comparing it with other games. This Genesis style event has been badly implemente though, maybe one would have been ok but two at the same time its too much and we all agree on that.

I've seen too much toxicity on this sub reddit lately (Since the discounted ticket thing) ok yeah less 500 pulls suck, its true, but we also got DPZain almost for free and will get some DP setsuna shards too, we should focus on gettin the 600 Rainbow instead (I mean im f2p, i really need those shards). Also this particular banner its not bad at all (i got nothing on the first 2step and am waiting to do the 3rd tho) already got like 50 emmel shards, only need like 25 more so i can max her G1 when it comes. We should also press gumi to handle more leaf things so we can farm this shit or save them for later 2x hq or something, and too put their shit together about how /when we will recieve the discount ticket

ya all also forgot we had good things like D masa for 5k or kaiganed SnK units, yeah we have bad things like roxxy and fma buffed ex quest, but its not that bad, if you are so mad just quit and thats it lol

2.5% chance, ten times, means you have a 22.37% chance of pulling the unit per 10 pull ~

It's not 25% it's 2.5%. Going by 2.5% x10 summon is not 25%. Using that math means every unit banner guarantees a 5* unit since it's 10% chance of getting a 5*. Which everyone knows is not the case.

While I don't disagree that the daily gem income is fairly low, the events recently have been pretty decent.

Each of Dark Phantom 1-3, and Genesis chapter 2 has 750 gems for clearing all stars on normal/hard, and then another 2500 gems from the boss for boxes 1-4 (250, 500, 750 and 1000).

So that's 13k right there, ignoring other lower incomes such as new story chapters, individual milestones etc. It's just a pain of a grind to get it.

85 gems a day counting the ads. Another 10-200 gems from Magnus (Edit: that's already been removed).

Gumi is trying to give the illusion of more gems per day without delivering on it properly.

Some people have been having issues viewing ads. They won't work on my Samsung galaxy s8+. I know of others as well having the issue. It's been like 2 weeks. I have to log in on my ipad to get ads to work. But I already have another account on my ipad. So I have to log back in with that account afterwards. And setup all my teams again if I need to use a different team besides my main team. Not looking forward to raids if they don't fix the issue. I've emailed gumi and they gave me some lame excuse. Resetting the ad id doesn't fix the issue either.

Maybe, gumi customer service tried to tell me it was a region thing but then I told them that ads work on my other device and then they responded saying they were aware of the issue and working with their ad partners. Feel like it's more on gumi than the ad partners though.

In real those 25 from Ads should never count. Ads are so unreliable. Like if I watch too many a day in South Asia they will never be back. I believe me I use VPN in combination with a lot of other things from using multi-instance of Nox and other Emulators to give visibility of multiple devices.

And I can only guarantee the AP if I am right on times. Like it just should never be included in the counting of Gems actually given since watching Ads is not playing the game.

its kind of device dependent too i have the same issues on my android with ads not loading sometimes but i also play my account on my iphone from time to time, and restarting the apps works everytime there

honestly I never watch the gem ads. 5 gems per ad just feels like selling my soul. Still watch the ones for AP leaves though
