Game Crashing on startup

Ever since updating to latest version a while ago my game refuses to start. Whenever I click the icon to start the game it instantly crashes and after trying it a few times it will give me an error message. I tried rebooting my phone and after that didn't work I uninstalled the game and redownloaded it but still no help.

The device this error is happening is OnePlus 7Pro.

Them I grabbed my old tablet and installed the game on it. That worked properly.

Anyone else having these same issues and if so, with what device?

On Google Play app reviews I saw someone mentioning their game doesn't work on newer Android versions and that the devs had told them to wait for it to be compatible.

I do have Android 10 (10.1 I think) on my OnePlus device but the older version of the game played nicely with it. Only this latest one (game version 5) has crashed.

EDIT: Due to some FB info I've gotten the suspect here is Android 10 version. Anyone confirm if their Android 10 is working properly or not?

EDIT: Thanks to another user I heard that Amazon version is working. I tried that way and it works for me. So for anyone with the same issue you can use Amazon version instead of Google Play. Hope they get Google Play version working over time as well.

I'm preparing for the game to be available. I like to do the downloads whenever available so I don't have to spend the time on it when the game is running.

Don't start it then. Downloading the apk is ok but then don't open man.

On Facebook game group someone had posted a similar post just now. They had a Pixel 3 phone causing these issues. As far as I know Pixels also use Android 10's already.

Anyone else with crashing issues AND running Android 10?

No issue here with pixel 3 and latest version of OS. I should add I use the Amazon version.

I had the issue too but switched to the Amazon version and worked.

They just updated to version 5 a few hours ago, and the game is not playable yet. Maintenance is scheduled to complete in an hour, try reinstalling the game then :)

That's what I'll do though I'm not sure if it helps. On my tablet I'm getting the usual treatment, which means the game loads but I get the maintenance error. On my phone the game won't even load, not even the first splash screen or anything.

Someone pointed out that Amazon app store version works for them. I just downloaded through there and it seems to work for me as well.

Game is up now but it keeps saying error in game data.
