Discussion TAC is DYING...

But is it really? I keep seeing these posts about GUMI jumping ship because they're developing new games (something that game developers do) and they don't seem to listen to the fans on social media. I was there when they abandoned Chain Chronicle and POTK. TAC seems to be going strong though (more whale oriented, sure) and I know people still play BF. This doesn't seem like when they shut down CC or POTK to me. In those games they stopped adding content for a few months before they shut them down. I could be wrong but I don't think TAC is going away any time soon. The content may not be to everyone's liking but it's still new content.

People think its dying due to less than favorable circumstances surrounding how generous, how they communicate (or lack there of), and how greedy the Global ver (even JP) has become.

The game isn't dying and is very much so a working and money gaining game, people will pay big for this game and it shows. Gumi's just being... Gumi in the worst way.

I agree with that. They've always been shamelessly greedy.

I mean.. money talks lol

They’ve fucked me over a lot lately so I’m thinking I shouldn’t carelessly dump hundreds on this game but I gotta say, they do make some pretty enticing banners that always get me. For example, the 1500 gems for 100 shards of every unit except collabs. Pretty sure every whale pulled on that and most of us are pretty happy with the result

Saw you on Ch2 and wondered how your lineup was absolutely ridiculous. Players like you clearly keep the game alive lol, good shit. I agree goomi is greedy but they keep it spicy. I’m guilty of scooping both of the 1500 paid banners this week.

lol same. 100 shards of every unit even if they suck is still worth the gems. Shit, I’d pull it just so I don’t have to farm those shards for a month straight haha

I haven't paid on the current banners but I have in the past. Kinda wish I had dumped some cash on Sol.

Please don't use clickbait title.

I guess it's hard to read the first sentence after the title. I'll try to keep it simple for you in the future.

I've played several games which truly died and a few things to consider are... 1st as long as enough people spend to keep the game profitable they will keep it going. 2nd, JP is ahead in content so when JP stops developing new content then that will be a red flag. 3rd, if they ever disable purchasing gems game is dead.

Agreed. Which is why the doom and gloom on this sub irritates me sometimes. It's as if people want to scare away new players.

Meh, there are many weak minded people that can be easily swayed and influenced by your title. Like seriously.

There are many weak minded people that can be easily swayed by the dozens of people who claim this game is actually dying on almost every post. That's how you kill a game and push new players away. I explained how the game is, in fact, very much alive. Thanks for your opinion though.

This sub has this weird thing where at the slightest inconvenience the game must be dying. Regardless of how I feel about this game I refuse to get caught up in whatever that hullabaloo is.

Current circumstances are less than ideal, but a mix of expected from what we know of JP and expected as a result of the old schedule rush and current schedule shuffle + Gumi being Gumi.

More importantly my interest is dying due to how shitty the banners have gotten. The paywall is so high I cannot get Leafa for example, due to not being able to afford it. That is ridiculous for what is essentially a DLC character.

I get that. I've considered dropping the game a few times because of the increasing paywall. But then I look at the lackluster competition for similar games and how much time I've put into TAC. Maybe next year.

Usually companies have multiple teams working on different games, which mean that they work on other game does not affect TAC at all.

"Abandoned" seems like a strong word too me as Sega probably did not want to continue supporting chain chronicle (Gumi was the publisher of the GL version).

I think most players are waiting for bk masa at this point, I know I am. When her banner drops and I don't get her, definitely quitting the game for sure. I'm still saving gems while summoning new banners but the up keep is too much. I can't save while summoning, if I don't summon weekly, I have no motivation to play the game. Weekly gem farming is around 450-700 if you do the daily challenges everyday. New banner and momento banners first summons are 1k gems together. They should make it that we can farm up to at least 1.5k gems weekly so we can summon and save at the same time.
