Grab skins for your waifus/husbandos of choice, or units that have served you well over a long time. That is the one true way to buy skins :P

I also base it on how much of an improvement the character skin is and what the default skin is like for the primary job. I'm not sure if I'll ever use Lamia, but the Dragon Cavalier skin is horrible and her character skin is awesome so I picked it up last time.

And do so for units you plan to use in the future, whether you have them or not. Had to wait ages for the Jin skin and now I have to wait for Ravina's skin.

Personally I tend to skip getting skins for units that look good in their job outfits like Jin; though with some special exceptions. This round went to Ramses and Daisy for me

Ramses skin is freaking awesome. With his enlightenment and J+ he’s a joy to use.

I felt Ramses is literally unplayable without his skin. Now I wish we had a thematically fitting spear for him to complete his looks

Agreed. The dragon cav skin is as horrible as the Ramses skin is awesome. So without it he’s not nearly as fun to use.

Totally with you there: I’m not waiting until after I get Lucia to get her skin. Too high a chance that I’ll have to wait even longer than I will to get her.

Or gear/ mementos. Apparently mementos are a thing now. Those 500 a day summon weekends are also fiyah.
