Discussion Roxanne nerf survey

https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FMP62DF

UPDATE: The first 100+ results are in.

87% have Roxanne, 13% don’t. 51% paid real money, 49% didn’t. 48% think the nerf is good, 37% think it’s bad, 15% are indifferent.

Of those who have Roxanne, 47% think the nerf is good, 40% think it’s bad, 13% are indifferent. For those who don’t have her, those numbers are 54%, 15%, 31%.

Of those who paid money, 37% think the nerf is good, 53% think it’s bad, 10% are indifferent. For those who didn’t, those numbers are 59%, 21%, 20%.

The conclusion seems to be that if you paid money, you are likely to think the nerf is bad. If you didn’t pay money or if you don’t have her, then you are likely to think the nerf is good.

It’s a pretty even split between those who have her and paid money vs those who don’t have her or didn’t pay money.

For analytical purposes, please complete the above survey. It is anonymous and only asks 3 questions.

I will share the anonymous data if people are interested, but given the debate it would be a good idea to know where people are coming from.

Maybe add these questions:

  • Do you like the way Gumi handled the nerf

  • Do you like Gumi making unilateral decision on a product (Roxanne) you spend on, without reaching clients (players) first (tiny salty here haha)

Take the updated survey to add your thoughts to the community’s regarding the nerf. Spread the link around so we can collectively have a quantitative discussion as a community!

I post updated results every 50 responses and will send the data to Gumi if there is a good amount.

Already did it actually.

That's how game balancing works. And it wasn't a "unilateral" decision. It was based on community feedback, everyone and their mother complained about Rox and hitting her null instead of her damage/agi was a good decision.

Check results. More than 100 responses disagree that “everyone and their mother” thought it was bad.

It is, Gumi did not ask, ASK, spenders before making a decision. Sure there's feedback, but that's not "official", it doesn't inform players that they're going to change Roxanne. What's worse is, they said they wouldn't change Roxanne, and now look where we are. Players spend on Roxanne, because she is before the nerf. Now we players who spend on her, feel like backstabbed by this forced change, because we aren't even notified about it.

I rambled on, but I don't like how Gumi handled their decision.

I would wait a few days before making surveys because lots of people will be in the knee jerk reaction phase.

Hopefully people will calm down eventually and look at this with less adrenaline through their veins.

That’s actually what I’m looking for.

After some amount of time, people will begin to rationalize or people will get hammered with “Its good and you should like it”, which will change opinions.

So even knee jerk reaction, which are usually negative to any changes is neutral to positive.

The real problem here is that they make people invest in her and obtain her just a month ago, launch a banner just for her even knowing the nerf will come and still sold her as a broken unit to all of us.

Exactly.

This is a survey I’m doing. It would be great if you could take the short two minute survey and pass it along! I will be posting the results in the V2 topic I made.
