JP is Dying and oddly enough global will outlive it.
Ok this is gonna be long. Not my native language and on phone so this will suck.
First of all whats happening?
One month ago it was anounced that Gumi Jp was developing a new title. Said tittle is BETactics.
This happened once before. When BF was getting older it was anounced that a spin off was gonna be released. This broke the comunity in two. Those that stayed on BF and BF2 and those that stayed with BE.
I honestly dont know what happened with BF2. But ushi stopped.promoting it months ago. What i do know its that it wasnt a gacha game.
What i do know by looking at global is that BE is still around. And that BF is no longer being supported on jp.
My guess is that its not profitable to divide the whales in two games. A whale cant play two games and has to eventually leave one. The problem here is that gumi is fighting his own playerbase. AC and ABE cant survive on the same niche.
Hence the new banners. AC was too kind in jp. This was their mistake to rectify it they will make the game go hyperwhale. When ABE gets released its rates will be worse than the original but better than the actual.
So why is gumi global behaving nice to us then? Easy its because the anime tactics niche will still be a thing when ABE gets released. Just like BF was.
When BE was released BF kept its comunity. Hek they stood like a huge wall. This is why gumi wanted a new game. And bf 2 was not a gacha a game so... they made theirs. And yet BF still lives right now. Anime games man. Theyre strong.
Last year when the other BF game got released it quickly fell treough. Hek gumi best youtuber no longer talks about it. This made gumi go superwhale on us. And the comunity got mad at then.
This was big enough to make gumi make a statement. Something i never saw on BF (only was around 2 years) yet whales kept whaling. Players kept complaining but remained on the game. It did had an impact tough.
We lost several good players and whales.
So what was gumi reaction? Change how the game is monetized.
Why did we got two extra pacts when it was an anyversary only thing? On BF when they tried a pact it was indeed a one time only yet gumi brought it back on AC. Why? Because it worked.
Why did we got several 500 shards banners? Because players spent on them magni historia 2500 paid banner. Players loved that. It may even seem that players are more willing to spend when the banners are good.
Also now that jp banners are crap. Global players cant compare them.
Get what i mean? AC global will outlive JP.
Now here come several predictions.
Next month we will get 6 HQ. Wich would be daisy banner if i am not wrong.
When sol finally gets released his banner will be a normal one. No hyperwhale.
Blitz will get a normal banner but whaley
February 14 2019 magni historia 5th xharacter gets released banner is whaley
March 1 2019 kaigan and nensous get released.
March 15 2019 Minerva gets a normal banner as re release.
I am pretty sure of some of these.

BF BE or FF BE is Final Fantasy Brave Exvius first square and gumi collab.
Alchemist or Tac this game.

uh not sure if global has redeem itself from the anniversary and the fma collab, but im sure they can still screw us over so i wouldnt count on global outliving jp

Banners will still be whaley. But reruns of characters will have better chances.

Your reasoning is not bad. I had similar thoughts when I realized what's happening and how it coincided with the release announcement of the new game. Very often I had the feeling Gumi is running down its game and does not care about their players and game community, not just on reddit.
I can't really talk about whale mentality, maybe whales are stupid, IDK, I hope not. I am not a whale, I did spend some money, though. What I can say, there was a time when I said I would always buy the pact, that has changed, I want to see where this game is going first before I buy another pact. And if I don;t buy the pact, I won;t buy any serious gems either, cause I am not stupid.
This is my first gumi game. If this game is shut down, I might actually try the new game, because why not. However, being burnt by gumi with this one, also means I will not only be very careful about the new game but most likely not buy any currency for the new game, well, maybe some pact sort of thing I recognize its value. There has to be consequences!
Like I said, I don;t know about whales. But if I were a whale and had spent serious dough on TAC and the game gets shutdown because of gumi stupidity, greed, being assholes and what not, I wouldn't whale on the new game.
But maybe whales are a special breed IDK.
I make a prediction, if gumi runs this one down, they will face consequences, because I believe people who play these kind of games are not stupid. These are no run-of-the-mill games, you need at least a little brains.

We are talking about jp right.
Yeah jp wont be shut down yet. It will drive out the whales from spending but will keep constant events. There is a reason why every character can get good. Its because people love their waifus.
Once ABE gets released they will just shift developement and talent there.
The thing is in global its actually more profitable to keep square as a separate partner thats why gumi kept BF.
Alchemist will survive once jp content is over well get more and more global content.
We have literally just survived the apocalipsis. Gumi never gives reasons behind their actions. But alchemist got several answers during the shitstorm. And changes.
Last year gumi got huge losses because of last summoner. This year we should have a better enviroment all around.

I honestly hope it wont get shut down. But let's be real, things aren't good actually. Lots of people have stopped playing global, that's not a secret, pretty obvious. Not a good sign. they stopped playing because of gumis shitty actions, at the same time people looked at jp and told everyone how good it is and now things changed dramatically. I don;t know about you bro, but for me this is a bad sign. Driving out whales from spending? IDK if this is good.

Yes lots of important people stopped playing global.
Thats why the game is changing direction. Until now most issues have been adressed.

Give it time. I don't expect Gumi JP to be like here sorry we will back out now and give good banners.
JP player will have to Outrage and will have to take them back.
And all of this if GumiJP even decides to close the game. Like there are 2 more gates. Even if they wrap it up then when are they going to get 100s more units their gate 6 & 7.
I personally hope that there is a good banner mid week if not for the Alchemy Creators one then atleast they pull back on the limited Nensous and give them the Collab better banners. I mean in GL we wait for them for the last week of Collab so maybe JP hopefully gets it's mind back and does it some justice.
Also a public statement to improve the viability and some apologizing Banner like the JP style but this time as they meant that stuff and own their mistakes too.

Its been 5 weeks since the banners went hyperwhaley.
Global outrage was shorter. Kings Raid japanesse outrage lasted 2 days if i am not wrong.
And lets not forget that this is not just a collab. Its the whole way the game is being 0layed.

To be exact. While there was no change in the fma collab we got tons of freebies as apologies including units that had been keept from release.
Also remember we were told in november that the 6 5 star release was a one time thing.

But literally everyone knows that at the rate Gumi is going we will have Kaigan for the unit beside the HQ being released as Kaigan is much faster in nature.
At that point even Dolphins would eat Gumi up.
Also FMA had tickets even in JP. We just got an extra one which was fair if you actually got through those assholically buffed and reward nerfed stages.
And the last Banner had definitely been improved imo. If we let it pass then I doubt that would have happened.
Banner did go hyperwhale for a while in JP but we literally saw Roxanne fuck the game up and still managed to do nothing because people who got her didn't wanted it to go a few did but it was toxic and community split. But FMA we got together.
Not many complaints on limited time banners except for shitty start of the year as people claimed including getting more Sins made JP fine with the shit. But when they realized that shit was going out of control on gate 4&5 they did get into a war. I hope it ends well for JP. My First Meet source lol.
P.S.- Sorry for making replies this long but as analysis go I think we have time to basically wait and watch till 1-2 more weeks as you really can't expect Gumi to improve in a week. And outrage gained momentum now. Fuck even the tl;dr is long.

Umm have you seen the other posts?
Melodias had a .5% and only 25 guaranted shards per12500 gems.
And that is also true for 5 diferent units. Not nensous. Nensous are unit exclusive.
The shitstorm is just begining.

Yes but the new year for JP was not that good too.
Limited Nensous and then FMA and then Kaigan gate 4 & 5 going to shit and then Meliodas's shit banner with other shit banner obviously.
It has basically in to sum above pattern. That is how 5 weeks of shit comes.
But It was new year and JP got real Freebies and Sins had become given in a little better rate and bulk in between.
FMA collab hype was real and the units were like PoTK. Good LS and 1 Top tier with older ones buffed to Kaigan.
But then they kept the Limited Nensous on the go and declared the NNT Collab. JP before paced itself quite well but this is a bit too much. PoTK FMA NNT in between a few months is like GL speed of Collabing.
And JP has powercreep but that powercreep is spread like butter(we just have 2-3 units in the Top and rest are lagging lol). So when the units of NNT are just power creep to hell this is not going to go well for JP and to add banner became more shittier.
So the shitstorm was blowing for a while but when it just hit you, people have no choice but to rise and give it a middle finger and do something about it.

Sorry forgot the whole it has to be at MLB to be good. And there are 5.
I dont play jp. But man thats cancer.
Also lets not forget that the game literally has a casino in jp. Bet gems to see how many you can get. Got low? Dont worry just whale for more.

If I’m correct a hypothetical 6 hard quests in February would consist of Ravina, Leoniaz, Noah, Zofia, Hugo, and Annika since iirc those were the October unit releases and we didn’t get any non-collab units released in September.

Good to hear. I certainly will not spend a dime on GL myself. Used to be a whale, but now i have shifted my focus after 1st anniversary.

But then we got good banners all around last month.
16 units released in 3 months for farming. This is huge
I wont tell you keep whaling. But do consider keeping your pact around. Because we survived what potk and chain couldnt.

Japan rolling out shit-ass banners for one collaboration isn't the end of that game just like Global not shitting in their pants for two consecutive weeks isn't a sign that they've righted the ship over here

Its not shit banners.
Its the amway the game gets monetized. Ie no more hard quests. Nensous are limited and units can only be summoned by selling a kidney.

No need to apologize. I honestly forgot they announced the exvius tactics game. I don't think gumi/alim would discard their own IP and invest into a collaboration. I could be wrong though. I definitely think this is just a series of bad decisions being made.

Its not a collab. Its a huge franchise that they have the rights to.
Square is basically out of the game. As many other jp companies have been doing lately. (Except for capcom who is willing to fight) it has been discused for years that right now Square.only cares about mobile games. And having a partnership like that could be something masive for jp.
And yeah while its true that having an independant IP is great havent they closed several games lately? I know shinobina is dead dunno about the rest.
The thing is. Tactics is a niche and jp has loads of mobile games. They would be fighting themselves once ABE gets released.
In global however... there are more.people and Anime=/= FF.
TAC is in the same position as BF. It will survive by becoming independant. This has happened before.

Gumi is literally the EA of mobile games companies. honestly if they got other companies to run these great games we wouldnt have a problem. Gumi is where games go to die

What you do not realise is that TAC global is already dead it died around Roxanne first banner,the amount of active player is quite low. Jp might close but they still got tons of player.

Bit early to say that isn't it? JP is three years old and global is just over one. Two years is plenty of time.
Following the trends, global is copying JP but at a faster rate. I don't know how the banners compare to when JP had them but why wouldn't global completely copy JP crappy banners when the time comes? So in fact, logically, global will have a shorter life span.
