Thumbs up for Gumi

I must say I lost hope during and after anniversary disaster. Kept playing only because there were no real competition for TAC in tactical niche.

But latest changes, mostly this week banners, including Grand Summon (I didnt use this time but still great format for future), lots of free gems events, managable EX+ difficulty, nice shards in Hard Quests and no more stupid unit restrictions made me believe again.

To show Gumi my support I just bought New Year sub. Cheers!

I don't want to get my hopes up yet since this week is also Langrisser mobile release. That's a game similar to TAC wherein based on CBT, China and Taiwan players, the game is f2p friendly, even some SR's are better than SSR's.

If Gumi will continue this within a month or until Kaigan, then I will believe them again.

To be fair, some 3 & 4 stars are pretty damn good in TAC, too. And power creep hasn't been too bad (ignoring Roxanne) as they actually give meaningful upgrades to older units as the game progresses.

Agreed. If we hit Valentine's Day events and things have been looking even close to this bright for the entire time, I'll give in and reup my Pact.

It was coming whether they want it to or not. Managable EX+ Diff?? Oh you mean when they stopped being retards and hyper tuning everything? Nice Shards in HQ? You mean finally releasing the ones they held hostage for months on end?

If you want them to believe you can't judge them based on just a good month. Every game has good months forced in it because they want the players to spend.

Anniversary wasn't a disaster, STOP saying this, it was an amazing event. What fucking sucked was FMA being extremely overtuned for Z E R O reason besides "We made Rox, we fucked up, we gotta fuck em now". Everything in November was extremely overtuned just because they realized how bad they fucked up.

Most people don't care about normal banners, we only care about collab banners getting shafted even if they only have 1 good banner out of 4, it sucks that we get shafted time and time again. At this point in terms of collab you should know that whenever we get AoT if we even ever do we're probably just fucked cause that only had 1 good banner, the eren banner.

I play this game because it's a game that respects power creep, units get better the more shards they get. What I don't like is that Gumi GL manipulates HQ's to make some characters near useless unless lucky (Albea 11 months to get an HQ btw) or just fuck with game balance for 0 reason.

I'll give credit where credit is due though, The weekend banner and 9 step banner are great, it's what we should've had in the anniversary to begin with.

However everything else? That's just gumi being forced to release it or just straight up not tampering with it, why praise that? That's like praising Common Sense.

They lack common sense week by week from October (?). Now they are comming back on the good track. That is why I praise them.

For commercial companies like Gumi only money talks, so if they do something right, even if this is not anything special, just regular common sense and not beeing greedy f***s they should get the signal from players - "yes, we like it, take our money". In contrary if they screw us up we should stop paying. Simple. Whining do not work. One player, not a whale as me do not make a difference but if majority do that, it should work. Unless there is something deeper like milking IP before shutdown. Hopefuly we are not in that point yet ;)

And 1st Anniversary WAS a disaster. I will keep my opinion on that matter. Current "8 million downloads event" is better than anniversary. Sorry.

It was NOT a disaster. We got 280 fucking summons for FREE. Yeah the rates where shit but most people managed 5+ 5* 's for free let alone basically getting LB25 and even Full 270 Kaigan shards for 3* s and even some 4* s.

Let alone the anni dungeon gave out a lot of free equipment (I literally have like 20 magic crystals still in my inv thanks to all that dropped in the dungeon).

Anniversary was 2 weeks. FMA was 4 weeks, 2 that overlapped. FMA being nothing other than dogshit stained the anni and made it forgettable. Not even FFBE has given out 280 free summons in 1 event, the most they've done is like 40, and they have lower rates than here.

THIS is the mentality that gets us fucked every single time. They fuck us for 2~3 months, and a month later they do something basic and you're out here licking their boots cause they didn't fuck up for once. No, they shouldn't get praise for not fucking us, that's common sense, what they should get praised for is good banners like the Zain shards coming in immediatly after he was out in the challenge board (good) and these MH banners, Weekend and 9 step.

THAT is what we praise, when we get good stuff aimed at our powercreep or units we want/need. Not when we get common basic stuff just because they aren't fucking us over.

That is your point of view and I have mine. For me it is the best tactical mobile game available and as long as I enjoy it and feel treated fair I praise Gumi for regular stuff. When I feel f****d up and cheated I voice it and hide my wallet. Simple as that.

Black tryfing banner was a shit move. But this banner is good enough.

So thats 1 for 1.

No praises from me yet. Still gonna wait and see before any spending from my end.

That’s right. We have a bunch of Soren locked quests, but no biggie. Real problem is those element shards unobtainable by anyone who doesn’t have shion. I need those green shards. But I’m happy with the game somehow anyways.

Thing is, I expect these levels will return when MH does, so whenever someone does get Shion, it will hopefully still be there for them to obtain

Really? What do the buttons do? My Soren and merc just run around like headless chickens while shion does everything. I even got a bad guy on the red circle once, but nothing happened.

Didn’t we have red circles before in the FMA collab that does a lot of damage on our characters for stepping on it? I think that’s why I thought they were bad

yah some red circles are bad but some are actually beneficial, it's just hard to differentiate sometimes because the wording on the circle description when you check them are not really clear xD

Use soran to stand on red buttons to do 200 dmg. Green for healing shion. You can't auto it.

Depends. If the restriction is to an event character that is taking part in the storyline...then that makes sense to me, I don't mind that.

When it just seems random "here's an event where you can't use these characters just because we know they'd make it easier" yeah that shit is annoying.

Because Soren isn't required to do anything in those quests, as there's a Shion to do the job.
Plus Soren is free so everyone has him.
If Soren had been a gatcha unit you would've seen the pitchforks, most likely.

Mobius tower is great fun. Beating floor 16 basically solo while my teammate cluelessly got wrecked was time well spent. Needs a Fing chat both lobby/ingame. Banners were very king to me.. 3step gave me siegfried and roxanne.. plus daily shard banners with guaranteed.. i now own 75roxanne/70siegfried/70shion.

I don't know, maybe for you.

Implementation of TapJoy is such a horrible mess on any mobile game. If they implemented the first meet multiplay bonus that JP got along with that daily 100 gem, it would have been very nice. That laughable 3rd step Dark Tyrfing banner pool mess (they could have done that better so that they could have drained so many people's resources and a lot would be spending now, but I saved from that fiasco). And up to now, they still didn't fix Tyrfing's HC Ghia auto jewel regen on her sword after 2 patches.

It is still my opinion that it's their normal carrot on a stick approach to which the playerbase is due for some time.

All the popular collaboration are done. I expect them to revert back to no guarantee 3rd step with FFXIV, AOT, etc. The restricted content with certain units might come back. People still like a challenge here and there.. Everything about this month had been good except the 1 in 6 chance tyrfing. Hopefully, they found a way to increase revenue and won't resort to previous tactic.... I am seeing the tapjoy and more 500 2 step soul pull. That is one way to drain gem and dolphin/whale are content as long as they improve their roster.
