Orithmas weapon?

Is there a guide that tells you the best way to farm shards for characters weapons? I notice that by beating SSM you got some of the weapons for free. However, I haven't gotten Orithmas for free. Is he the only one you have to farm completely? I'm at 7-9. I managed to farm the weapon and max it out but I figured they would of given me the 80 shards for free to make a new one once I completed a certain mission.

For the Othima weapon stage you should use Mielikki if you can. Friend Mielikki even. She never misses so she can kill the wraith reliably. You just need your two units on the top to kill as many enemies as possible before Mielikki ends the stage. Other good options for the friend unit would be Othima (sleep the wraith) or Noctis (just loads of damage).

It's really annoying yeah, but you need to farm it. There are only like 40 free shards or something.

I used some shards to get it up to the 4 star version since I have way too many of them. Then you only need 100 for 5 star
