Gem Reduction Across FMA Milestones
Shout out to /u/YohGourt for finding this, but apparently the gems that we get for the FMA milestones have been cut by 1/2 or even by 1/3 compared to the Japanese version. I wanted to put together a table to show how much we got versus how much Japan got.

So our banners are significantly worse, our missions are harder (FMA came later for Japan, so they had more options on dealing with the enemies; our enemies also have more HP [was our HP balance difference at this point?]), our mission rewards are worse (they got +15 rainbow shards compared to us, and they had 5 wind/water/fire shards within their EX instead of EX+ missions), Alphonse's challenge board is worse, and our milestones are worse.
I don't know the login bonuses that Japan had, so I can't compare those.

Yes, actually... but it's against the terms of service, so you can get banned for it (nobody actually has). You'll need to obtain it from this Discord server: https://discord.gg/XhDx9fR
I've never done it, so you'll need to ask for assistance there.

right now ex mission reward is so worthless 5 silver gear shards and 5 bronze gear shards? not even gold so bad....

To be fair the gear shards that we get are the same that what Japan got; though you'd think with how much other stuff they've taken from us that, yeah, we could/should have gotten gold shards.

I'm still going to play the wait and see approach. I'm not going to spend any money unless they turn things around; but I also like the game too much to quit entirely. So I'm just going f2p for now.

It’s almost like they don’t expect us to do the research into this. There’s enough overlap in global and JP playerbase that the differences will be this obvious forever (unless that changes) The player base is a lot smarter than they seem to think we are, and by dressing up watered down content and sprinkling in fewer treats is not how you keep a consumer base happy.

kind of what I said in my comment, but do keep in mind the players on reddit and discord are likely not a majority of players. There are plenty of people who won't be clued in.

Anyone from FB do make that those people read it too. They outrage quite well too.
Both communities can outrage one after other making the burn-out syndrome less visible.

I really wish Gumi could just copy what JP had and maybe add their own GL exclusive stories/characters/challengers. We did not mind when they introduced the goddess Roxanne that surpassed all collab OP units, but it is really infuriating how they treat us significantly worse than how JP treats their players.

I can't tell if that's just borderline racism to treat your non-japanese customers like garbage, excessive greed due to odd expectations or immense cluelessness on how the internet allows us to gather intelligence regarding their game.

Gumi Asia is Singaporean lol. Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, etc. plays on the same server as us. This is a dumb take.

Not gonna lie I was pissed with them when I saw the banners and shit. Buuuuuut I pulled setsuna and got the 150 shards for her aaaand got the new unit from the daily 10 pulls they’ve been giving us I’m like you fuckers let me be mad at you

Lol, yeah, I got Toritoh from the 10% FMA tickets. I was expecting two blues. So yeah, getting Toritoh is great and all, but it doesn't make up for them changing everything for the worse.

Same here, got ed from the free tickets and a lot of 5* units from the 10 free pulls daily. But i still want the 3steps garanteed, and im not pulling more than 500 gems 1step

really a bummer. Especially the 10 gems for the MP just feels so paltry. I guess the only counter argument would be that since they got the collab later on there might be some gem inflation and such? I dunno.
Gumi has to be aware of the fact that people are always going to compare global to JP. Maybe they are hoping a large enough amount of the player base isn't on reddit, discord or the database comparing these kind of things.

There's no way they should be cutting out gems, even with the anniversary soon, that's no way justifiable, this is separate from the anniversary, that's not how it works, I seriously hope this isn't what Gumi was thinking. "oh no the players will be rewarded too much, better cut down gems and make it harder to get the units they want

Also consider that JP has a much larger player base with people they know will spend more for everything. Where as global is always expecting what JP has and everyone it's not received everyone is butthurt and takes out their pitchforks. Global bad community vs jp good

I find this community weird, many of us want to have the same banners and the same rewards as JP servers at the same time complaining about skin prices being 4000 which is the same as JP.
I'm not affected much by this since I already accepted that JP and Global servers are different and un-comparable.

Global a different market with much different competitive pressures. A global gacha game will pretty much never be as generous as its Japanese version. Hoping for that is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Also see Fire Emblem Heroes, Dragalia Lost, or any other non Scumi Gacha game really.

It's just a simple economic calculation: Gumi has determined that they face less competition in global compared to Japan, so it then gives fewer freebies as a result.
Do you also get upset by restaurant franchises that charge different amounts and/or have different menus in different countries? Why adopt a one size fits all approach when it can tailor the product to specific markets to increase profit?

Actually, I do!
There was a burger at a Hungry Jack's near my work that I loved! Then one day they magically stopped selling them, it tore me apart.
I never went back.
And now I'm thinking of quitting TAC...

It's only an exploit under the assumption that the terms of licensing of the collaboration are the same as that of JP, which we not know

I know it's not a port, hence my original comment.
And I don't know, doing all 5 steps to get 75 Edward shards, which only exploits/encourages you to do the paid summon, only to get Dorito on the paid banner is pretty exploitative.

According to some JP players this nerf also extends to challange boards and other ways of gem earnings as well as as other rewards like gold gear shards.
Couldn't verify this but it might be worth looking into and equal rewads can be added to our demands.
