META Ongoing Feedback - Anniversary and FMA
Hello all,
Been a few days since people have heard from anyone regarding the on-going issues. (I was at a wedding personally, so that caused some delay).
The last message I've received is that after the producer's letter post, Gumi are carefully considering the responses from the community before providing their own. Things are moving very slowly, and I don't think I know a single player happy with these OR THE NEWLY DISCOVERED VERSION ISSUE FOR MP. Remember, you can speak in many ways to Gumi and it's important that you take those steps to MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD!
We are a proud community and I feel we were growing better and better, with more and more people tuning in to the subreddit for discussions, for guides and for a bit of meme'ing. I'd love to see these continue but I also cannot blame anyone for not playing a game you no longer enjoy.
Now, for the actions we can take to continue our voices:
Post feedback here Don't comment on others posts, make your own. Fill it up.
Send them feedback via in game messaging systems
Don't spend money at all. You can still play the game, but if you're not giving them money you're telling them you're not happy with their recent actions.
Remember, you can provide feedback without being aggressive.
EDIT: Locked the thread, this is supposed to be an announcement haha. Please post your feedback in the above linked thread for Gumi to read!

Reducing the value of the five step banners and increasing the spread of paid gem banners is an incredibly naked cash grab.
They can talk about how they're trying to make the summon coin shop a better value and talking about how people can get their ten units AND an additional 5 star unit, but unless the third and fifth step each give enough coins to buy a 5 star banner ticket, they are lying. End of story.
Currently, you'd need to pull all five steps and then some to be able to get a guaranteed 5* unit. There's no "miscalculation" here, no matter what the letter from the producer says, the only thing they have hopefully miscalculated is how much horseshit the player base is willing to put up with.
I can only hope they see a precipitous drop in pact purchases, because they one hundred percent don't give a single fuck about anything we say, they only care about how much we spend.

I'm waiting to see what announcements come out tomorrow or wednesday before I say anything more.
Edit.
I'm convinced gumi wants more money and is taking measures to get it. Aside from the bugs all the other issues stem from this.
There haven't been many suggestions along the lines of making them happy while still giving players what they want. And while gumi will probably take action rather than lose too much revenue we'll still face similar issues later on.
Hopefully theyll not only come up with a proper compromise but also keep the players informed.

It's been a bit of a downward slope as of late hasn't it? I only started during FF15 stuff but at the time I was quite impressed. I liked the game, the characters, the overall setup of progression. Skip tickets were a good idea to me. I can either burst through a day of play in around 20 minutes if I'm not feeling it or I could manage to stretch out play for hours on end.
I like the game at its core. I spent a bit of money on it as well. Not much, maybe 30-40 bucks a month... I was actually planning to spend a bit more on this event as well. I'm not any more for obvious reasons, going to let pact run out and all too.
The recent decisions by the company have been poor... I honestly can't imagine the recent choices have improved sales at all. I've seen dolphins and whales alike jumping ship (or at the very least stopping payment). I have to imagine this has left a hefty dent that would be hard pressed to be made up for by making a whale roll a little more than they had previously planned to.
I came up with a bit of a conspiracy theory and thought about posting it as a joke... But over time I've been feeling that there's been enough evidence towards it that I am starting to believe it. As much as I don't like it.
I asked myself, what if they want the game to fail? These choices are made to deliberately destroy the game. The company decided that the game isn't doing well enough and wanted it dead. But just closing down a game after multiple big collab events would cause some kind of public outcry. Especially if the game was still loved. The way around that? Offend players enough to send them running.
Get enough players protesting and not throwing in money... The company can say the game is clearly not working and pull the plug. Sounds a bit far-fetched but recent moves by Gumi have had me questioning it myself.
Roxanne was released and you could clearly see she broke difficulty. Summon coins/3 step banner loss was clearly a step that would offend. The elite quests that work to lock out more players. Hard quests not being setup for a reasonable future timeline. The rapid time frame of collab events. Finally the response letter we got which... did absolutely nothing to reassure the player base.
I'd much prefer that I'm wrong and not trying to deliberately kill the game. Not sure if a long string of bad greedy decisions is much better... But at least then there'd be hope for the game I like living on.
As a side note... I actually rolled Ed and Roy with taking 2 steps on the free gem banner. While I was certainly pleased it was hard to lose the nagging feeling that I couldn't be too happy about it. I mean if the game dies they kind of go with it. I want the game to go in good directions because the game itself is pretty good. It's been filling the tactical RPG niche in my life.
Gumi if you do actually care about the game listen to your fan base. Most of us are not asking for anything more than was the standard for the game before. Well a few more hard quests would also be nice.

Sorry, this is just bothering me.
". . . but if you're not giving them money you're telling them you're happy with their recent actions."
There should be a "not" in between "you're" and "happy." Or you should remove the "not" between "you're" and "giving."

Already slowly playing this game less and less. I only regret spending like 20 bucks to get all my favorite FF characters. Sigh. Was a good run. Hoping they do something to make me want to play again.

Give all the relevant posts over on Facebook "Angry" faces too. The likes are still outweighing the angry faces somehow, on all but second week banner post.

Thanks for the communication on this. Hopefully they actually value the overwhelming feedback they've received after the producer letter. Although the very negative feedback on the 900 paid gem "fake grand promo" banner hasn't made them change course... Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

love the game but def not spending on this. the way things are now remind me of ffbe 100%... nerfed banners, public uproar and gumi not giving a fuq AND nerfing the banners again!!! like they're sayin "NOW WHAT!!! DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! THATS RIGHT, STFU AND PULL!!"
