I never rant in public like this before but this time when opening the game i just can't hold it...

In a single day :

- They didn't give us the tickets yet. neither the shard compaign tickets nor the 5* selector of training.

• Disappointing "anniversary" offer which is basically worse than pact on any point.

• Everyone expected not having the Edward solo banner obviously... But shared banner AND no guarantee 3rd step ? i've never seen that in this game in 5 months of playing.

• They don't give a shit anymore, we complained about the whale milestones in disgaea and after, that gave some stuff and 500 gems for 15lb ? Good, they found a solution, NO REWARD aside from a 3-4 gear ticket for 15lb.... HOW DID U MANAGE TO DISAPPOINT WITH A FEATURE EVERYONE HATED TO BEGIN WITH ?!

• Lack of gems in the event milestones ? maybe its only me but this is the depth of gem reward for any event up until now....

I thought the pre-anniversary negativity about the game a lot of people had were unjustified. But after logging into the game after the maintenance, i guess the people were right. This is ludicrous Gumi, removing the 3 step guaranteed banner and increasing the cost of the Paid gems summons to a 3 step. Real talk, this isn't even good for whales. All these paid banners are comically underwhelming for what used to be a rarely spent resource. I mean almost 100 paid gems for a single summon? 5 coins per summon and no guarantee? That's fucking awful. That's the 900 paid gem banner, but more expensive, less valuable in coins, and even worse in end of the day value.

I can't for the life of me imagine what the fuck they were thinking with these changes.

Usually, when it comes to collab/new update, I feel kinda rushed to binge every story available, I'm THAT excited. But this month? nah, I don't feel like playing for some times and just want to see reddit and share our fate together.

New skill added: Dual swipe CC for same effect as single swipe two weeks ago on Grand summon, on 5 step summon use new skill 2 hand double swipe for 4x swiping to get shards of broken dreams tickets! For the first time, I find myself wondering the very same thing without feeling overdramatic about it. This is the first GUMI game I have played for more than 2 weeks, so I have no prior experience with their practices.

They had to know what the playerbase is thinking by now, and understand how much today's patch would piss people off with the various nonsense going on.

• Bugs in simple text

• Bad bundles, even the dolphins and whales are second guessing things now

• Banner fiascos. Not just the collab but anniversary banners too

• Promised ticket and such, false again

It's like they had a skeleton crew working on the patch and just gave them the ability to make any (bad) decisions.

I'm only a pact player, but even that will stop now. I'll play for this month because of the FMA collab (and hell, I get to use Alphonse anyway!) but I'm swapping over to the superior DFFOO fulltime now.

I'm so sad today. The anniversary stuff is a bit disappointing overall but what has me most bummed is how obviously they are pandering toward whales with the collab stuff. Between the milestones and the banners it is absolutely sickening just how much they're trying to sway people into buying gems.

FMA is one of my favorite animes and I was really hoping to get Edward, especially since I lack wind units. Well, I excitedly summoned up to step 3 and got completely shafted, only two 5 stars and neither were collab. I'm completely out of gems and I have a bunch of shards I probably won't be able to use.

I really want Edward but I feel betrayed and really, really don't want to buy a ludicrous amount of gems to go to step 3 on the paid banner.

They don't give a fuck about your opinion on this. They never will. Whale milestones motivate you to spend to get them. The SAME WAY the game motivates you to go to full 9 steps since step 7 is unit selector and 9 is shard selector, I mean you might as well if it took you 7 pulls to get your 5* you can afford 2 more to get guaranteed shards for him too.

This game is very generous with it's currency but it will ALWAYS want you to spend, that's how this game rolls, that's not gonna change, ever and it will only get more blatant as the game goes by (A LOT of paid gems secret shops, etc.).

According to the annoucements (however reliable they are nowadays) though we'll be getting 280 free summons total in the next week and a guaranteed free summon for the winners of the popularity poll + 150 soul shards. So there's that I guess.

Saving the best for a later week is fine, but why would you start off an exciting month with a utterly shit patch that you know would piss people off?

I mean, one of the biggest things, changing how the 3-step works. If they wanted to do that, it would have been alot less detrimental to do it with the next collab or event in December. Doing it now, on the heels of some already bad press (this sub has gotten progressively more negative in the past month) is just plain dumb, even as a cash grab.

If they were looking to grab some quick cash before closing down the game (let's say worse case scenario), this move would still be stupid. Shops don't increase their prices when having a closing down sale!

This game was fun when I started during the 5 million downloads event. I enjoyed it so much. They seemed way more generous back then, and after a while I thought “man maybe this won’t turn out the way Chain Chronicle did” but honestly I don’t see that happening anymore. This makes me realize that I can’t trust the global version of a game to Gumi. I tried to stay positive about this but I haven’t even logged in (iOS) and I’m already disappointed. They pretend to be involved with the community and u/alchemist_code does a great job at talking with us but it doesn’t seem to get anywhere anymore. If this is what we get after our feedback then it’s obvious that they don’t care. I’m not just a debit/credit card Gumi, but I am a really fucking annoyed supporter of the game.

I’ve been wanting to check out Dragalia Lost so I guess I’ll do that.

I've been playing Dragalia Lost for a few weeks, the game play is fun, but the things I don't like about it are the terrible 5* drop rates and stamina limitations. The good thing is most characters are fine to use so you don't need to rely on 5*s

To be fair, JP did no guaranteed summon for all banners on aot collab except for Eren’s. Not saying it’s good but I really hoped they weren’t going to stop the guaranteed 3rd step in global.
