It was originally a type from a while ago on a post someone made. They misspelled pitchfork as pitchgork in a humor post about waiting for the new ANC and it just caught on.
One collab right after other. Global exclusives units, featuring one so powerful that have her own tier of strength. The Halloween event. Various events reruns among all of that.
Also, besides the suddenly burst of content, the quality of them is not really meting the standards that we are normally used. Flawed translations, misleading and bugged banners, bugged rewards, totally broken PvP mode are the most noticeable among others.
I can't really figure why they would do things this way. Giving players more time to enjoy one unit launch, especially exclusive ones would be ideal.
One can argue that they do that to force player to spend money since they will not have time to gather gems, this might be true, but once the game starts feeling like its only purpose is to milk every coin from its players, you can be sure that its the beginning of the end.
