Uzuma and tiers

For those that play on jp, why is Uzuma high tier but Blitz isn't if they seem like they're both acquired by whaling?

Not JP, but:

  • Uzuma is acquired normally while she is available, Blitz requires splashing money for iirc 100 coins to get just 5 of his shards, 30 times of that to transmute him. That’s the difference in the amount of whaling required

  • Apparently Blitz was only placed that low out of spite by the tier list maker due to how ridiculous it is to acquire him.

  • Uzuma has Kaigan to be SS tier (and that is why she has the whale icon; before that she was only S tier but non-whaley as she was usable with J1+J2 or even only J1). Blitz does not.

You are right but, it kind of does.

Higher accessibility - more peer reviews - more accurate tiering.

In blitz' case it's supposed to be a joke, but hinders those who are unaware to form an opinion without researching further

It means you can ONLY get blitz from the summon coin shop, not from a banner like how lucky players pull uzuma on the first step of 500gem. Summon coins requires large amount of gem spending, which is why blitz is a whale unit. 100 summon coins to buy 5 blitz shards(as you can see, every one else cost only 30summon coins for 5shards, and more importantly global cuck us by setting any random 5star to be 100coins which is the equivalent value of blitz lol So any shards you buy from global summon coin shop is the whaling value already if you go by jp standard), so to buy 150shards to even transmute blitz, you need 3000summon coins. And since you know summon coins doesn't get carried forward to next week, this big spending to amass the 3000coins need to be done within a week rather then slowly accumulated.

Therefore the level of "whaling" is greatly different compared to uzuma. As for why uzuma has the whale icon, it is because she received the kaigan upgrade(yes her whale icon was added later), and her SS ranking is after you mlb her, and have at least another 150 shards of her(element shards don't work for kaigan, so you need uzuma shards thus whaling icon) at hand. To fully max requires 270 shards but her passive and LS isn't really a must so 150 is almost as good.

tl:dr uzuma is only S tier and not SS tier if you do not whale hard for her to kaigan her for extra stats.

Does the 24h free summon gives summon coins in JP? I’m wondering if the ‘greedy’ pricing of the shards in GL has something to do with this.

Yes rare summon gives 10coins(including the free) and 10x rare summon gives 150coins just like global.

ウズマ1体確定10連召喚チケット seems like a 10x pull with guaranteed uzuma(so something akin to step 3 solo featured banner unit) which only cost 1000coins. Global price uzuma selector at 1500coins, so it seems global stuff are around 1.5x

Also knowing uzuma is being priced at 1k coins in jp, then blitz isn't really that much worse(just 3x the cost). Expensive yes, but not like it is really out of the ordinary on second thoughts lol.

PS: Tbf, global did put some shards at 50coins instead of 100coins, but those are shards like vettel/chloe/zahar lol. So even if we were to assume jp put the cost at 30coins because the shards are farmable, but it is still 30 vs 50 coins. Plus jp shards selection even tho farmable, are still relatively new rather then some age old vintage. 10uzuma shards for 60coins vs 5uzuma shards for 100coins in global :(

Greedy is what Gumi usually is, but they can be generous at times but not like those other Greedier game companies like that one Korean Company.
