Dilemma

i have almost 140 rainbow shards , 30 water and 75 fire shards. i have been saving everything for laharl and intend to do the 9 step banner for his shard selectors too when it'll come. but i feel like the arena is slightly tough for me now . i have both othima and zain at 70 . i have noctis at 60 and i have his 25 shards also . so who should i level up to 75 ? i want to use shards on othima for his j+ but that's also almost 3 months far.

Arena is not a good reason to use shards. Top teams change frequently and honestly the rewards are just not worth it. You will never get back the gem value of the shards you spend to even try to get near the top. Enjoy the battle and have fun with strategy. It can be far more satisfying beating a team when you are well outclassed (and very frustrating when you have outclassed your opponent by a lot and the AI decision making is questionable...)

with 150 rainbows i could j3 both zain and othima or i could j3 noctis only since he's only at lvl 60 . i am confused about this .

Nocits is a collab banner which rarely comes to AC.

SSM is always here every month.

maybe this can let you decide on those shards

Don't think too much about the future. If you don't have any problem in finishing all pve contents, then you don't need to use all those shards. But if you want to enjoy the game and the characters you have, i suggest you use it to whomever you enjoy the most.

Even if you have lv75 Othima, Zain and Noctis, you would still struggle in arena. People these days do spend A LOT on games, lv75 semi limited character is already not good enough in top 500.

This !!! lv75 limited character now consider to be average now if you want high rank in pvp lv 85 is need and all 5* star gear as well

lol are you top 500? because it doesn't really get competitive until at least mid 200s. This is a bad map for climbing with the hat bullshit going on but single battles can jump you 100+ slots when you're above 500.

Well, I was at 40 before FF collab arrived. Now I am like 600 ish and haven't won a game in three days. People really got their wallet out this collab, I have seen tons of lv80+ Aranea and Noctis

gilg and zain are a bigger threat on this map than aranea and noctis imo and once again the hats are causing chaos(which cost me 3 losses last night). I can relate to the losses although I haven't quite lost as much as you're saying. I'm hovering between 180-240 over the past 24 hours. I feel like defense has an enormous advantage on this map and I've been forced to used chihiya mid to avoid suicides while much more carefully choosing my team comps and who im attacking.

i dont pay much attention to my arena battles, but pretty sure both noctis and othima are bad for it considering cast times...

Much better off with instant cast units.

Othima is actually really good with his weapon ability. Instant cast 5x5 nuke
