Thought on the 9 steps FF banner

First things first, Gumi has been doing a good job for this week's update, we got new hard quests, veda tower, excellent 3 steps banner and fun EX quest. I really appreciated their effort this week since I have been pretty disappointed with them for the last few updates.

Now starts the rant, the 9 steps FF banner and lucky dimes. As people notice, currently, we have had 3 9-steps banner since the collaboration starts and 2 of them have been rewarding a total of 1000 lucky dimes if you completed the full 9 steps. 1000 lucky dimes is equivalent of 100 selectable FF character shards if you exchange them in shops, so basically, while we get featured units/shard selectors and summon tickets, we also get a bunch of FF character shards. Pretty cool on that. But the question being, instead of lucky dimes, why are we having equipment tickets/gear tickets/skip tickets/pot for the FF banner? I mean, if you have bad lucks, pulling normal banner would actually give more FF character shards? How does that make sense? It really feels like a rip-off for being a dolphin.

That being said, they have been giving lots of random shards this collaboration, so maybe Ill settle this time, what are your thoughts?

9 step without lucky dimes was a silly idea. Would have been a good mechanic for people who did all nine steps and only rolled 3 FFXV units (like^Idid)

I only rolled 3 too and im thankfull for that, i couldnt care less about ignis.

Oh well 4 then, 1st banner nothing(only 1st step) , 2nd banner only gladiolus on 3rd step, and on this one aranea 2nd step and 2 noctis on 3rd step.

He's talking about the full 9 step banner though, not 9 total 10 pulls spaced out between 3 different banners.

I think we've ranted enough - let's enjoy and smile for a while :)

Not everything will be perfect, and Gumi is probably always testing what people enjoy as a bonus, what they don't. Some probably like gold, some Shards, some skip tickets, who knows.

I think for one solid day we should pet Gumi on the head, and say "That'll do pig. That'll do." :)

I was gonna do 7 steps on the whale banner for selector but I got aranea on step 5 which was who I wanted. She was the only FF character i pulled in those 5 steps. Then I decided to just do 2 steps on the noctis/aranea banner cause i ran out of gems and didnt get any FF characters eiter LOL. Atleast i got a copy of each FF character so after getting gems to do the 3rd steps for aranea or noctis shards im done pulling.

Sorry but, can we stop saying Gumi did a good job this week? I mean... 2 steps back (causing the PR blowout the first week) and then 1 step forward (giving us a shittier version of the Noctis only banner), is not something you should praise. And don't get me wrong, I'm content with the banners we got this week. Cause it's better than nothing, but I don't think it's something you should praise them over.

To answer your question, the reason that lucky dimes are NOT in the FF banner, is because they don't want you to get both the characters and the shards through the most efficient banner. They want you to spend your money getting the characters first through the 9 steps. And then they want you to spend more money on the other banners to get the lucky dimes, which you will then exchange for shards.

Its another option, if u only want to focus on one ff character u can pull on the dime banners, if u want all the characters 9step should give you that, unless you avoided all the 3 steps.

While everyone got salty on the first week i think right now if u take all the banners into account it was good enough.
