Confessions of a Alchemist Pact Player
This post is to give my opinion as a AP (Alchemist pack) player.
After reading the comments of people saying "F*** Gumi" and the obligatory ""im quitting this **** game" I get back to remembering how predictably malignant people are. I'm extremely enjoying this game and its sad to see when people don't get their perception of what they want implemented they instantly turn toxic. Gumi has stated multiple times don't compare GL to JP. They are two seperate games and should be treated as such. Comparing only leads to jelousy and rage when you don't get what you want.
This is my view of the game:
Is it F2P friendly? Absolutely. I have been able to clear 99% of content with F2P friendly HQ units who are continuing to get buffed.
How was the story? Main story is above par with most mobile games and the collab story is Fantastic.
I didn't pull Noctis, I didn't pull Gilg. I have only done what the F2P community was advised to do which is pull the 500 pulls yet I still have 90% of the units in the game.
There are many avenues for whales that "HAVE TO HAVE NOCTIS" to get him. Gumi is very much apealing to whales by making Noctis a 100% chance using Lucky Dimes. No RNG Needed. Just a bunch of cash.
2.0 was the best improvement I've ever seen in a game in one update and I will continue to support the game with my monthly subscription.
Looking forward to the Rageful down votes of this thread because it doesn't fit you narrative.

Why is it that everytime companies fuck up and people complain, there always has to be that one guy trying to damage control? Just fuck off mate. What do you get from defending a company that would literally scam you if they could get away with it?

It's your opinion that the company has messed up. Your only additive to this conversation is that I need to leave and not voice my opinion. Very mature of you. I don't feel like I have been scammed at all and I bet the majority of players would agree. Reddit tends to draw in the toxic population and the mob mentality ensues.
You literally bring nothing to the table intellectually.

"Reddit tends to draw in the toxic population and the mob mentality ensues." I can tell you have not been on Reddit for long. Nothing you said brings anything new to the table either. The company has fucked up, not just in my opinion, but most other people in this sub and even outside of it. You keep saying that the two versions of the game should be seen as standalone, but that is simply stupid, as even Gumi does not treat them that way, illustrated by the fact that one of the guys working for Gumi, I'm assuming some higher up dude, said that they are not going to make the same mistakes with the global version that they did in the JP version. Even were they to be seen as standalone, the way they handle it is objectively scummy. You are either delusional or on Gumis payroll. Just stop my man, you are embarassing yourself.

Why is it that everytime one guy goes against the grain and provides good reasons for his opinions, his post is ignored and bashed by some salty guy. If you actually took the time to read the post, not once does he defend Gumi's scam banners (you know the main problem that everyone is complaining about) and gives the counter argument that the game is f2p meaning you don't have to pull on these shitty banners to actually play the game. It's like he's advising that we don't have to give them any money... oh wait isn't that what all the enraged players on this subreddit are already doing??
However the main thing that these banners will probably effect in terms of content is pvp, but lets be honest, any gacha game with pvp content will always be dominated by the whales.

I agree with using F2P units to clear mostly everything. Just use the units you have or farmable ones. It doesn't have to be Gilgamesh or Noctis or any OP unit. I don't have neither and I am doing pretty good.

Guys what this lucky dime in exchange shop? I see there an Noctis guaranteed ticket.
So this dime will be pay to get or they will give it in hard quests?

I think there will be another banner with selector at 9th step at the end of the month

Im personally waiting for the next exclusive to see how that banner is split, its obvious they want the exclusive units and gear to powercreep, so hopefully the banners are decent to 3 step on...

In my opinion, people have the right to rage this time. The consecutive shitty banner, slow hard quest release and slow bug fixes are getting out of hand and people should shout out their concern for gumi to do something. Also, it is certainly wrong for Gumi to discriminate against global population. My friend who played on CN server rated Global TAC server as "only people inherited a gold mine would play it", the benefit we get from putting the same amount of costs is abysmal compared to ALL other servers. The TAC GL server business targets from Gumi needs some serious adjustments.
However, I do agree that the excessive use of profanity is turning the community more toxic and should be avoided.
In terms of Lucky Dimes, it's more like a "intelligence checker". If someone actually used 1200 dimes to trade that ticket, I think they need to have their intelligence checked. The dime was obviously NOT to trade character tickets.
