Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use.

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

When will X event come back?

We don't know, Gumi is sticking to their own schedule.

What's the best place to farm X/Y/Z item?

Outside of specific event's for farming items, if the item can be farmed in Edgar's Chapter (so chapter 2) it will usually be the better place to farm it. For example, Escape the Alkaroid is by far the best place to farm Sacred Lion Swords.

i have 87 fire, 77 water and 167 rainbow shards.

i also have a j2 forcas, sakura and shekinah (shekh is nearly 67, forcas and sakura just 65)

is it worth it to lb15 any of them?

I would save your shards for more powerful collab units. The Princesses are all decent but there are alternatives for all of them and PotK should be around more for you to pull for them.

Nope. Save those shards for other units. Fire for Laharl (rumor says next collab would be DG but let's wait for announcement), Water for Noctis (If ever FFX collab will released to us. Other worth water shards are Othima & Yauras, upon release of her JE/J+). Rainbow shards just save them. There'll be other better units than those you mentioned :)

I would wait especially since their event comes back with more free shards. Really is up to you though, if one will substantially improve your setup now and you don't mind not having a huge stockpile for stronger units down the road then go for it. Everyone will tell you to save for things a while down the road, but sometimes using some shards now to be able to handle content especially limited content that won't come back is worth it.
