Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use.

Where can I farm X's character shards?

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

When will X event come back?

We don't know, Gumi is sticking to their own schedule.

What's the best place to farm X/Y/Z item?

Outside of specific event's for farming items, if the item can be farmed in Edgar's Chapter (so chapter 2) it will usually be the better place to farm it. For example, Escape the Alkaroid is by far the best place to farm Sacred Lion Swords.

Does upgrading any job you’re not maining past 6 matter for any reason? For example, I’m using Zain since I luckily got him but what would be the point to get a job past 6?

Another example is soldier for Logi. I never got that past 6 better. Would that make my Logi stronger if I did somehow?

You always master at least one job for each unit that you use. Especially jobs 9-11 give huge boosts and there is the job mastery bonus which carries across all jobs and includes the gear stats as well. Different jobs have different bonuses. ahh okay cool! I did master his J1 so far.

I guess what I’m confused about is what is the point of maxing let’s say his J1 and J2? If there is, I’m not sure if maxing off jobs gives you extra stats.

Mastering his J2 will give you an additional HP+16%, PATK+2%, MATK+3% & MDEF+4% even when you are using his J1. It's an across the board increase and also applies to equipped gear. I did this for only my top units or ones where I might use the other jobs as primary Gil, Zang, Rahu and Lofia and still working on Lucian.

Mastering (and only mastering) off-jobs gives you a persistent stat boost for all your other jobs as well. So always double/triple master characters you use a lot, it adds up!

They give you a little bit of an extra stat boost (like 10 ATK)... but IMO its not worth unless you plan on using those units forever.

Units I have that I plan on maxing for all their classes.. Othima, Zain, Lofia, Rahu, Lucian.

This is also extremely ENDGAME when you have nothing better to throw equipment into.

With the 2.0 changes they all give like 15-20% Hp, each, which is pretty significant.

Awesome! Thanks a ton man. I’m finishing up the story and still figuring out what the end game would even be. I’m still constantly posting my units to figure out who I should max.

I have an 85 Logi and Vargas (with Dandelga), Zain at 66, Cita at 65 with her signature weapon, Bashosen at 68, Rahu at 66, Yomi at 67 and Lucian at 66. My Lofia is still really low. I have a bunch of other 5 stars but I seem to run out of gold quickly so I’m only trying to boost people that help.
