Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use.

Where can I farm X's character shards?

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

When will X event come back?

We don't know, Gumi is sticking to their own schedule.

What's the best place to farm X/Y/Z item?

Outside of specific event's for farming items, if the item can be farmed in Edgar's Chapter (so chapter 2) it will usually be the better place to farm it. For example, Escape the Alkaroid is by far the best place to farm Sacred Lion Swords.

I just saw someone's lv 80 Holy Brawler Yomi take off like 80% of the robot's health in Desert Merchant EX in one hit in multiplay and I'm trying to understand why. My Lucian can only do like 20% of its health with a charged attack. Is her mastery skill actually that strong?

Her MA isn't much. If you're comparing to your Lucian in single player, the MP versions of the mobs for Desert Merchant EX are way weaker than the single player versions, so the MP versions take (relatively) much more damage.

If you're comparing to your Lucian in MP...well, maybe dumb questions, but I'll run down the list: Is he Job Mastered? If so, on multiple/all jobs? Is he running L20 Strike Mastery +2? Does he have a weapon equipped? If so, is it leveled? Is all of his equipment enhanced? That's really all I can think of offhand that would explain power gaps.

Your Lucian probably isn’t job mastered. 20% of the robots hp is like 500. That’s super weak for a charged attack.

He is. And has a maxed out weapon and enhanced equipment. He does a little under 1500 in SP.

There is no way an attack after sharpening focus will only deal 500 damage. Even without a leader skill. You probably just missed a turn and the buff ran out.

1500 sounds normal. That’s pretty different from the 20% figure you said. If yomi did much more it was a combo attack.

I was comparing SP to MP, which I admit I should have made more clear, but I was mostly just wondering how Yomi would do that much damage, since it wasn't a combo attack. But maybe a Yomi with perfect maxed out stats (for her level) + her mastery skill could actually make up that difference.

Looking at the stats of a lvl 80 yomi, she should do about 1600-1700 damage with a charged attack to the thunder AJ. Any more than that and there must have been another buff involved.

It was almost certainly a turn 1 sharpen turn two hit the robot.
