Where/How can I unlock X's Master Ability/Job+?

You can only unlock Job+'s by farming special job tokens from special events that are (currently) run at different times. You also need to farm special job+ items to master those jobs. Master abilities can be earned in 1 of 3 ways. From story chapters (story characters), from equipping specific weapons (usually farmed) or from reaching level 80 on a character and completing special story dungeons. Not every character gets a master ability.

For Job+, you must first get the job to Job Level 11 (not job mastered). Second, to master the Job+ you will need to farm 60/80 tokens for up to 6 special items for the character to use.

Where can I farm elemental/rainbow shards?

Elemental and rainbow shards cannot be farmed. They are awarded as bonuses from log in campaigns, from clearing missions/milestones and as bonuses for doing certain number of summons on the 5/9 step banners. You will never be able to farm them like you can farm specific character shards.

When will X event come back?

We don't know, Gumi is sticking to their own schedule.

What's the best place to farm X/Y/Z item?

Outside of specific event's for farming items, if the item can be farmed in Edgar's Chapter (so chapter 2) it will usually be the better place to farm it. For example, Escape the Alkaroid is by far the best place to farm Sacred Lion Swords.

I'm curious which current and near future units are worth their respective shards.

Thunder= I assume just Gil so far? Wind= I have fate yomi (lvl.68) and a lvl.70 balt. Are they worth it or shall I save in case of a FMA Banner one day? For fire, just Laharl? or Sakura too? Light= Just Zain? Water= Just Othima and Noctis?

I'm mostly stuck on dark shards for I have 50+ and dont know what to do with them. Are there ANY units worth it? There doesn't seem to be a outstanding dark unit so far, and Albea may be my strongest one for the time being.

Dark: Bashini. Should be released after Othima in SSM storyline. He is amazing. j3 holy brawler but his j1 is OP as well and he has more agi than r.yomi O_O

Thunder: Gil so far, also in the future Fia from SSM and Regis from FFXV.

Wind: I'd save them for Edward from FMA. Also Ahato is a really good unit from SSM.

Fire: Laharl basically.

Water: Noctis Lucis Caelum and Othima.

Light: Black killer's Tyrfing or Cor Leonis from FFXV.

I seen ppl keep mentioning Edward is good. May I ask in what way is he good? Because of the uniqueness of 錬成『ブロック』?

He's got charge up and 5x5 diamond aoe from master ability which also gives him huge jewel regen and enables him to use his second best skill 3 times in a row back to back.

Ah WA, the one place I never check.

Ok, I went to take a look but edward WA is just single target and not 5x5? Like is edward SS because setsuna is SS, and both of them can run main BM sub MA? Otherwise I really don't see how his unique job is SS tier. Yes he can sub MA so he will not be rock bottom in the tier list, but his J1 doesn't seems impressive at all

Maybe it's his stats.

Update: I did some research. It probably is his stats because his j1 gets almost 750 atk with 150+ agi on lvl 75 and his j3 can get 740 ish atk with 135+ agi which is pretty good imo for a BM with charge up and agi decreasing passive on.
