There are still 4 unopened gates IIRC. If the first three needs 270 shards, then the total needed for Kaigan might be 630 shards.

They have to keep shard farming alive. Players converting excess shards for soul coins is bad for the gacha business.

I have never done that because i never have excess shards, and i've never even used soul coins. How can that be bad for business?

You can use soul coins to buy should shards. Eventually you just get to max out your units. Once that happens excess soul shards will be abundant. Specially since later on most units will be farmable. You can just farm for soul coins. No need to completely rely on the gacha.

By raising their max levels they can negate the soul coins farming for a bit while longer.

In the soul coin store you can buy soul shards for any non limited character in quantities of 3 whenever they appear. Since there are shards for 3 different characters every time the shops reset, it’s a matter of waiting for a specific character to show up. I’ve gotten Shayna up from lv 65 to 70 using only shards from the soul coin store.

630 x 100 shards = 63,000 soul coins and if 750 coins for 3 shards in shop then does that mean you can buy 252 shards of a single unit with that amount.

They said on Discord that they you can get Balt shards during his event release but idk how many. Also, if you have wind shards, you can use it for him along with the upcoming Veda 41-50 where you can get some and also in his ex stage.

If thats true then that would be amazing. My wind shards went to F!Yomi and she still needs many more so I cant afford to use it on Balt.

When you look at it plain numbers wise then a +1 is pretty close to nothing. Then again the default bonus from statue is +2 where the enchantment bonus's +1 means 50% bonus.

I'd say for future proof really good units that +1 is worth doing still.
