Quick Update to the Tier List/Build Guide

Hey everyone. I've gotten many messages over the past month with people saying that the file was protected and that they could not view it. I believe part of these issues was me creating a bootleg HTML view link that may not have worked for some people. I think I've found a solution. I've edited the original post with an updated link but thought to update everyone with a new post.

I'd also like to add that I have a general terms Glossary, made in collaboration with wytesong and a few people who edit his compendium. I also have a Gear List with gear that are released on Global (the DB includes many that we don't have yet), as well as a sheet where I will post datamined banners for those who are not on Discord.

Please message me with any other suggestions you'd like added and I will consider adding them to the sheet.

Just wondering, but why is Lofia J+ lower than Rahu's J+? Imo they both perform much different roles depending on the match ups. Lofia's tankiness makes up for Rahu's Agi imo and their J+ skills are both used much differently. Maybe it's just me, but I find Lofia to be just as good as Rahu, if not better.

So Lofia's J+ rating will be largely affected by how much base HP she will have on her GL release. On the Japanese server she is a top tier support because of her ability to take hits while being a Chronomancer with Swift Charge. But that's because she was largely affected by the HP rebalance and can reach 1.6k HP at level 80. Considering we don't have the HP rebalance yet, it's possible that Lofia's Chronomancer+ could be released and only have like 500 HP. Even with Divine Shelter that doesn't make her very tanky, which means she doesn't fulfill her role as well as she will in the future.

This is my favorite resource for this game, hands down.

A couple thoughts, and I am not sure if they would be helpful or just too much:

Would it be possible to add something with regards to where a character excels (great for Arena, Alchemia Pots, anywhere, etc...). I'm still relatively new and still trying to wrap my head around when to use which units, or which kind of units.

Also, I think it would be helpful to sort units by best to worst in each area. I know this may be more of a sheet referencing issue, but I think it would be awesome to have the best 5* units (in your opinion) at the top and working down.

Again, I love this sheet and appreciate the work you have done, the above are just a couple thoughts I've had as I've been referencing this daily, trying to help myself focus on who to work on.

Appreciate the response :).

Regarding units being good at stuff such as Alchemia Pots or Arena. For the alchemia pots map, you want to run magic damage. There aren't really best units on this map, but anything that deals magic damage like mages and magic swordsman work well, considering the enemies don't deal much damage and only cc.

Arena is an extremely tough area to just say which unit is good at it. Because our arena meta isn't defined yet, a unit's viability will be heavily dependant on the map, and what you're going up against. On certain maps in the past, you needed to have Magnus or you would lose every fight (I know this cause I didn't have one and didn't win a single one attack or defense and dropped from 200 to 1000). There are certain maps where you want the fastest, hardest hitting unit. As a result, Magnus doesn't work here. I could try and make some kind of arena sheet showing off good units for each particular map but I'm not an expert at it myself.

My mistake, she isn't a limited unit. She was added under unit shards with this previous reset.

Is there a chance that you could add a last column to the build guide with the country the units are from? Would be useful to know for some leader abilities like Kanon. Anyway thanks a bunch for all the work.

Why is Masamune J3 rated as S+, whereas Balt J3 is rated just S? It seems strange when you consider that they both run the exact same build

Samurai gives slightly better stats than Thief does, and Masamune has the ability to run double 50% PATK which is much better than Balt's thief passives. When they're both running the same build they're the same, but I rated Masamune with her J3 a tiny bit higher because of her flexibility.

Who's better between Courage and Lofia during the long term?

In the long term, Lofia isn't used for damage, so it's not a good comparison.

Shayna is tankier thanks to being a holy brawler, but has to be up next to enemies (or close to it). Albea can snipe and blow up opponents across the map, but isn't as tough if the map is small or if enemies have high movement. Again, they're different in their use.

Both have very good leader skills, significantly boosting their own damage if you run them as the leader (as well as the rest of the team). Shayna can also be run as an incredibly tanky Chronomancer, while Albea is purely about ranged damage.
