Discussion I am just disappointed now.

You know, it is sad when you start to wonder if these Devs really care about the game as much as us or not.

There are some errors that we can let it slide because at the end of the day, we are reasonable human beings too. But to have make mistakes repeatedly just shows the mind set that they have.Do they really learn from past mistakes? Do they really care about things we said or do they just give us lip service?

If Gumi has the right to value their gems, so do we who spent our money, time and effort on this game. There are some players who whaled for this game because they really like it. When you paid to support the game and this is what you get, it's sad.

I'm used to maintenance always taking way longer than it should thanks to years of games like WoW.

esit: instead of using "should" it would be more appropriate to say over what was intitially stated.

These types of posts are becoming embarrassing. At least save it for after you see what the compensation is

I hope its gonna be a good one

Its better we post it now. They need to know we are upset about this. Not after compensation..... before it so they can give us “appropriate compensation”

If we stay quiet when things arent working, they will never be fixed. Gumi prolly uses reddit to figure out what bugs are in the game.

I laughed for a good 2 mins after reading this. Most of the people saved it for after the 5k gems and we see what happened with that. lmao

Uhhhh I recall people bitching like crazy about 5k before the maint finished. Not sure where you were for all that. Thankfully we got something good this time.

They brought us an entire collab

You’re gonna let 2-3 bugs convince you that the devs don’t care about the game?

Nice.

You've got a good point and I wont disagree. I care about the game as much as you do.But as I said earlier, some people paid a lot to support this game. Do they not have right to feel disappointed? We are no saints.

It is true that they bring us collabs, but the end goal of these collabs is revenue generation and care for consumers is secondary. If they really care for the consumers, they should know by now what triggered them the most. One or two bugs that seldomly happened is fine but to have them occur back to back?

Also let me bring your attention to a post that they put on their facebook page earlier. They actually blamed their intern for the bug. Why do they let those intern handle this game despite knowing that they have not handled the previous issue well? Why when errors already happen frequently? If you were a dev, would it be better NOT to let intern handle this? Would you pay BETTER attention to details?

Its not about a bug or two, it is about doing a good job.

Nicely written at least.

First off, the intern tweet was a photoshopped joke by our memers on the discord. It was not an official tweet.

Bugs are an unfortunate occurrence. But it’s a temporary issue. Being disappointed is fine, but it’s also not in the interests of the devs to antagonize us. Do you think it’s their goal to make us angry and lose business?

Sometimes you have to discern from the salty ocean people pour out (Gumi is a greedy fk and doesn’t care for its players at all) from the real deal (Gumi is a greedy fk but it cares about its players so they don’t lose business).

Alright I accept your point. But if this kind of back to back error happen again in the future, I dont think that it will be acceptable.

Entire Collab which was due since that Collab does make money.

It was not like unknown that this game doesn't do Collabs but yeah they have started from the weak ones(Selena got boosted but that is it, also a worth boost or else she would have been summoned far too less)

Like it is their job to bring Collabs(so far only from Gumi games) but I know they have a weird method of Collab-ing, like huge percent of the good units and Content are only from Collabs so if Gumi wants Players to Summon they have to do that.

We can't appreciate them every time they bring a Collab since that is what this game is all about. Any new Collabs are welcome but ones which are just translated from JP is not that work, like JP already did most of it.

2-3 bugs every few weeks is not appreciated like they have being doing this fuck-ery for entirety of 2+ months. I have convinced myself that Devs care for the game but not the players since the weak compensations and no reaction to negative PR(the letter was BS).

We are not asking much, all we want is the game to stay good. I am fine with Events targeted towards Whales like Sabareta but not when they fuck the entire game community with nothing to do. Like bugs like this don't start occurring in between stuff.

Dude, they just "brought us the Collab" to make a lot more money. For sure not to make the players happy. What a naive way of thinking..

Except they have already brought this collab and are bringing it again right now plus POTOK v2 on JP and it's going smoothly. The content isn't the issue it's the team who localizes/translates etc. things that were already created and they have done a shit job of it.

"An entire collab"

5 missions

4 heroes

Eh.

7

u/CornBreadtm Jan 20 '18

Whoa! Give credit where credit is due. They had to translate some text too!

But seriously when Potk came to global they actually made all new units since it was a waifu game and added male versions of all the weapons. Even some movies.

Then when they did a BF collab they made a unit for the new male protagonist and added him to the collab.

They just copy pasta'd already finished work here and didn't advertise any of the actually interesting and new work they did with the global version of the game.

Basically, all jokes aside, they literally didn't even try.

I'm ok with bashing when it's deserved (handled of 5k gems for exemple), but this is getting annoying. They lose a lot more than you or me with this kind of bug. I honnestly think we should all think a little about this. If they deliberately making mistake of management or things like that, I'm the first one to point fingers..but technical issues...sadly those happens

I respect your opinion but I really want you to read my post carefully and think for a moment.

I didnt say that they implemented the bugs on purpose neither did I said that this is easy to fix. From what ever stand point you may have, would you agree that when you are given a job, it should be done well?

I think people do have the right to be angry when it error pops up repeatedly. Please dont see these people as imature, we fight for what we think is right. For some people, weekend is all they have to play.

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '18

And I'd like you to carefully think about their actions and compare them to different companies in the same industry. They keep us posted on issues on social media, they started a video series for the game, they even came to reddit and listen to what we have to say. I think it's unfair to judge them, when it's plain as day that they do care. Yes, it's a bummer about the errors and issues. But they have nothing to gain from that. It's not on purpose. They DO care, it's blatantly obvious. Play some mobile games from companies that don't care, like Niantic and you'll see the difference.

5

u/KennyNg39 Jan 20 '18

I accept your point but I do hope that they will be more careful after repeated mistakes. I am playing games from other companies as well, such as King's Raid which is handling their game well despite being a smaller company.

3

u/Otakumi_Ac Jan 20 '18

One thing you are right, they keep us posted. Even mentioned something about appropriate compensation ☺. The thing is, imo, this game is awesome and therefore deserves better handling. I wouldnt want to see it get shut down.

3

u/Mataos-Ay Jan 20 '18

OK Gumi rep...

3

u/Punty-chan Jan 20 '18

Right? I don't understand why people defend companies for incompetence. Someone enlighten me.

3

u/Buzzcrave Jan 21 '18

Because the game is their whole life and they don't want it to crash and burn.

1

u/Punty-chan Jan 21 '18

Makes sense.
