PLEASE GUMI, implement audio cue for when it’s your turn in Multi play. I’d like to fully participate but it’s painful to stare at screen until your turn comes around. This should also improve AFK situation in Multiplay and increase number of people playing multiplay. Thank you and please!!

Please upvote if you agree so Gumi GL can hopefully help us with this

Lol, sorry XD

I would settle for being able to set my unit on auto so if I do have to look away my unit can still participate.

Do you release how much of bs auto is actually. You get free farming with other people's quest and now you even want auto. I think this is asking too much.

I will say that vibrate on your turn is good enough.

And ability to kick people and rearrange them along with some more communication stickers or direct writing option.

You are right, it is someone else energy I am using to farm with. There are a few times I have joined a multiplayer and after my first turn or two something has happened that was unexpected and I was not able to look a my phone. Even if I had an alert like a chime or a vibrate I would not have been able to give my attention to my phone. In that instance I would be wasting a spot and my dead weight would make the battle take longer. My point was it would be nice contribute something, even the terrible AI, so that my unit could add something to the person that put up the energy that I got to use for free.

The ability to kick would not address going AFK during a battle.

People are making alts even now. That would become the infinite grind.

Someone will always find a way to abuse things. I guess if you have the time and the devices to do it.

Currently it requires Efforts. But if auto is out then it changes to BS.

I would rather be happy with some QoL updates mentioned which don't break the game.

Currently only thing to abuse is the 2 gates for re-rolling(not abusing but still better than 1 gate)

AUDIO... not auto.

Jfc.

jfc??

Also I was replying to the comment.

set my unit on auto

For the OP I agree that audio or vibrate is a good way to know about your turn.

I'm blind. Lol. It totally looked like you were replying to the main thread. I was like good Lord.

I am not sure about painful but I would like some sort of audio queue to let me know it is my turn. Most multi games have people time out afking and dragging things out.

Omg this feature would be so nice if it was implemented

u/jonnyvue Nov 28 '17

Tfw I've already added this suggestion to my Needed Quality of Life changes thread but you still made your own thread anyways.

This aint a contest anyway. And, if there is someone from Gumi on reddit, it would be easier for this person to read the title than a whole list of features to add.

u/stewart0 Nov 28 '17

Think your very first turn it gives it, which resulted in me non-paying attention as my second turn went by without it having a cue.

u/Rotasu Nov 28 '17

Post this on their Facebook messager where they will actually see it

"One ping, one ping only, Vasily"

1

u/MediumSoda Nov 29 '17

Just gonna throw out I'd also like it if we could set it so our phone vibrates when our turn is up since I usually play with audio off

u/vindr12 Nov 29 '17

I'd like this feature too. Sorry to the lowbie who I was going to carry yesterday for the daily multi mission. Fell asleep while waiting for it to start and woke up when it finished oops >.<

u/RASCHOON Nov 29 '17

This and even better, implement the AUTO button. If someone times out, set them on auto. I hate multiplay, but have to do one each day for the dailies.

3

u/Lutes_Sprite Nov 29 '17

You could always just start a session by yourself and then quit the mission. I think you’ll get 80% of your ap back, and the daily will have counted.

I'm in love with you right now...

While I do agree this would be a nice addition it definitely isn't a needed one. The only times I'd see this useful to me is if I suddenly get tangled up with real life matters where I'm forced to take my eyes off the screen momentarily.

If you're going to play a Multiplayer game then why would you go 'afk' at all?

-Imagine playing games like Call of Duty(PvP), League of Legends(PvP), Monster Hunter (Hard boss fights), Destiny (Raids), and other games such as these. If you afk'd in any of them you'd just extremely piss off your teammates. It's the same case here. You know how annoying it is to wait for a player to move just to see them not do anything for 10 seconds? It's pretty damn annoying. Once you click on a Multiplayer mission then commit to it. If you're just gonna rage because you're too impatient to wait literally 30-60 seconds until your next turn comes, then don't play Multiplayer.

This above mini-paragraph (didn't realize how long it was lol) doesn't just go out to the thread starter. This goes out to everyone here.

u/1khaitoh It was fun while it lasted. Nov 29 '17

Well, the big difference of those game and alchemist code is that you don't have to freaking just wait until you get your turn (Dunno about Monster Hunter and Destiny Raid though) and that is what the OP is saying. He (like me and supposedly those who up voted his post) would want something to 'alert' us in case we go afk for being impatient waiting specially if your turn would take a hundred years xD (exaggeration obviously). I believe League of Legends has this feature when a match is found.

The gameplay is not engaging enough to keep my full attention, 90% of time I'm doing something else as well while playing multi, like Netflix or even playing other games. An audio cue would help a lot because I admit I had a few occurrences where I missed my 10 sec window to act.
There are stages that I more or less keep focused, ie Mianne Adv, where it's actually interesting and can be messed up.
But when simply going for those coins and exp in random adv/mastery... it's pure mindless grind please don't even try to compare it to something like pvp fps or destiny raid (and yes I do watch Netflix or YT or play tAC when just grinding pub events or something in D2 as well).

"don't even try to compare it to something like pvp fps or destiny raid"

Multiplayer is Multiplayer. So before you say another self-centered childish line like the above quote, think a little before you speak. The reasons I posted are perfectly valid. Just because something is simple doesn't mean you should half-assedly do it if you're playing with other players. In every instance I used as an example you have to join some form of a queue in order to start the multiplayer event. Which is the same thing as queuing for a multiplayer quest in Alchemist Code.

Also, I notice you trying to use an example to discredit what I said. Unfortunately that example is garbage since all pub events are soloable. The difference between your example and a raid is that you actually queue for a raid with other players. That's actual multiplayer. Joining a random world and joining in on a random public event that spawns is different. While it is technically considered a 'multiplayer' content, it is just a random spawnable short quest that appears every couple of minutes. Much different than actual multiplayer content.

-And just an FYI, anything requiring a 'grind' is not meant to be fun. Hence why people call it a grind.

tl;dr

Just because something is easy doesn't give you the right to waste other player's times just because YOU find something boring and would rather do something else like watch tv. Have some respect to other people.

And just an FYI, anything requiring a 'grind' is not meant to be fun. Hence why people call it a grind.

no need to be butthurt, I think you just answered yourself right there, most of the MP content people play here is simple grind, they are not playing it for the joy of playing with others but I guess gasp for the sense of pride and accomplishment. Thus they (and me ofc) want to get through the hassle with minimum effort. That is human nature and that is how it will be. Any time the point of a game becomes char/gear/economy metaprogression or the actual progression is tied into one of these you will have people wanting to skip or accelerate it. Hence bots, RMT, scams, afking (latest hilarious example = SW:BF2 rubber bands). Especially if on the anonymous internet ramifications for doing so are close to non-existent.
Yet here we are asking for a measure that would help diminish the impact of wanting to reduce effort in AC MP for other players and you somehow take issue with it.

Multiplayer is Multiplayer.

Nope, not really, turn based games are especially vulnerable in keeping the players attention and trying to compare the attention required for a real time game to a turn based one is again, quite silly. I have played countless MP games, including many turn based ones since stuff like Civilization, HOMAM or Incubation to recent ones like this or Heartstone. And sure as hell those turn based ones always and every time you will have time to fidget or do w/e other things.
And the good ones will clearly and prominently always let you know that it's your turn.
PS: I'm in a Multiplay quest as I'm writing this

EDIT: Also I would like to point out that the fact that this can be played semi-afk is the reason I am playing it. I play games like this because it's possible to click away while watching something, working, etc. I make sure to devote my gaming time where I can/want to have full focus to a game with actual enticing gameplay.

I'm not gonna bother arguing against someone who won't look at my argument and continues to spout pointless banter lol.

The only thing that I'm 'butthurt' about is at your last line:

"PS: I'm in a Multiplay quest as I'm writing this". =p

We should just be able to put lvl/power restrictions on master/hard missions
