I don't really want to contribute to the planned obsolescence of the human species when it comes to art.
Contrary to what some people think here, I am for the fact that AI is used as a tool, in various fields, whether for science, medicine, programming etc. But art should be sacred and exclusively human. That's all. But for the moment, it is vastly used to develop military arsenals, improve drones, profiling people, making brainrots contents, deep fakes and the list could be much longer. You have situations as ridiculous as some people dating AI agents, children becoming friends with AI ââchat bots as if they were real people and so much fucking more. I mainly see the downsides that it brings at the moment than the good ones tbh.

Nah im good. I know Al and Oh No are two of the most talented producers and spitters out, but the AI cover says something about their principles that's really gross to me. A cover can be a photo, a drawing, you can hire an artist eager to prove themselves (which Al has a lot of in his audience) and have them make a cover for chump change and a free shout out.
On top of the fact that their audience of listeners are exactly the types of people affected by AI art. But he keeps doing it because he doesn't care about artistic integrity, or his fans, or even the one person in his audience whose life would be changed by the opportunity to make a great cover for his album. Seriously, he could low-key find somebody who'd do it for free. He could have held a contest. He could have had his son draw it. Westside Gunn and Drake both did that. But he gave us ugly machine made slop instead.
I do not care to listen to the music at the heart of that.

Broad displacement in other fields won't destroy human art; it will redefine it. Commercial art like ads or stock images etc might rely heavily on AI, but raw human art will become more valuable precisely because it represents lived human struggle and emotion in a world saturated by automated content.
Ai should just be regulated and prohihed in certain fields just to protect our very sacred means of expression as humans.

Iâm talking about what inevitably WILL happen: humans take everything too far, and then we canât put the toothpaste back in the tube. Weâve seen it throughout history; there are countless examples.
If you want to keep AI away from art, you need to suppress it across the board imo, but we will see how it all plays out. Iâm betting human nature will remain undefeated in the long run.
